Modest older hotel - clean and comfortable

We’ve stayed here twice (with dog) on cross country trips.This is an older hotel with outside facing doors. In spite of its modest facade, it’s a gem in the rough. The rooms are tidy, clean and quiet, beds are comfortable, and shower works just fine! The inside facing rooms face a large courtyard (used to be a pool) so it’s even possible to sit outside the room (on the sidewalk) and take in a little green space in the evening after a long day on the road. I am pretty sure there’s a free breakfast, but we’ve not tried it. We made it our destination this time, and are glad we did.

Worst hotel ever stayed in

We chose this hotel due to its low price, location, and free breakfast. Upon our arrival our toilet didn't work. It took 3 days to get it fixed. The "free" wifi was nearly impossible to hook up to and would randomly disconnect every 2 hours or so. Our shower head screamed when you turned it on. The carpet was folding and coming up from the floor. The employee at the desk who worked overnights swore at me twice. The other night auditor was sleeping and when they did get up to help said they couldn't do anything for us. The final straw was when I had a cardiac issue which required that i be taken away to the hospital. While my wife was worried for my life the manager (who had no name tag, like every employee there, and wouldn't give my wife his name) kicked her our without reason or cause. The my wife had to go to a shelter while worrying whether or not I would be alive. I am writing this review from the cardiac care unit at Beloit memorial.

Don’t Judge a Book by its Cover

Stopped here overnight and although it looked a little run down on the outside— don’t be fooled! The front desk staff was very friendly and everything inside was very clean and kept up very nice. Our room had all the amenities we needed and it was very quiet. The best part was that you received a FREE HOT Breakfast at the actual Restaurant next door! What a treat! ……. So much better than the normal minimal continental style breakfasts you get at fancier hotels. This hotel was a good price- super clean- friendly staff & fabulous breakfast before we hit the road again! Nicely Done!
Room tip: We had an indoor room that faced the inner courtyard area.

Unplanned stop but would be willing to stop again if in area.

Very clean.roomy and comfortable..could use a nice chair to watch TV from but not a big deal..Bed comfortable,fridge with freezer, microwave..Best part is the free breakfast next door..ordered from a real menu!
Pull up to door and also a second door into hallway.

Pleasantly Suprised

We were traveling through Beloit and needed a place to just rest for the night. My husband, two teenage daughters and I stopped last week and it was much better than we expected. My youngest daughter couldn't believe that we were staying at a "motel" but she even agreed that it exceeded her expectations. The room was clean but the highlight of the trip was the breakfast. We were able to eat breakfast from a selected menu at the restaurant next door and it was delicious! The service was great!
