Absolutely Outstanding pub stay

We found this place on the Internet it was well priced and a nice rural location and was dog friendly
I have to say, I’ve been travelling for over 50 years and this is the best pub and stay I have ever been to
From the moment we got here, from the very warm welcome we and the dog received from the landlady to the amazing cozy room, it has been outstanding
I do not have a single negative. We had dinner on the first night. I had venison and a peppercorn sauce with mushrooms and haggis
My partner, had salmon in a tarragon and dill sauce. Both were excellent
I had sticky toffee pudding with custard, which was brilliant as well
The prices are nicely mid range, but the value is very very good
We have had full English breakfast both days and they are hot fresh with really nice bacon and a free sausage for the Dog every day
The long gardens leading down to the countryside, beautiful with benches and really nice views across the moors
It is very quiet and peaceful with good access to the local area
I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I think it would be really nice in the winter too as they have a real long fire and really nice little cosy bar
Thanks Moors Inn. We will be back soon

A hidden gem

Just had 2 nights at The Moors Inn, in a lovely village, Appleton Le Moors. Great location with lovely walks, we would certainly recommend staying here, lovely food, a comfortable room and friendly staff.

Lovely Weekend in this fabulous pub

This is our 3rd visit. We love the atmosphere, great food better than pub grub. Lovely rooms with modern bathrooms.
The team who work there really make the difference. They are friendly, chatty and can't do enough for you. They make as much fuss of the dogs as they do their owners.
It's a great location for walking the North Yorkshire moors or visiting the east coast.
We will be back

A good stay marred by bar noise.

We were allocated Room 6 (a twin room) directly above the bar. The noise from below is so great that you can hear every conversation, and the noise levels over two evenings did not desist until 2320 and 2345, respectively. The landlady acknowledged this and stated that we should have been told when booking - so please beware. Otherwise, great location and extremely friendly staff.

Lovely country pub

Really enjoyed our overnight stay. Staff were so friendly and attentive, food was outstanding and our Border terrier loved her sausage for breakfast. Really lovely pub and so welcoming will be going back
