Disappointed!

Us as a family love a caravan holiday! It’s use to stay here when I was a child and absolutely loved it so this year we thought we’d give it a try!
We stayed here 8th - 12th June and was so excited for our first little break of the year but left, very disappointed. Our caravan had rusty radiators, no towels or bedding and not even a brush to sweep through. We had children with us from age 4-9 and they were also very disappointed because barely anything on site was open! No fair, no ice cream shop, no sweet shop and we could only get booked into swimming once our whole trip!! We come in June and would expect everything to be open as it’s classed as summer season but instead we was welcomed to none of it open and surely that should have been stated when booking. We went for food in RJs the one night and the food was awful! And to top off our trip, our dog caught fleas, which has now cost us more money to make sure our dog is okay and for our home to be sorted.
Overall the only thing that we really enjoyed was the arcade in wonkey donkey and the food there was also very nice. Aside from this the staff were quite rude and as all the above explain, our stay wasn’t very pleasant.
If you’re going to book, check what will be open or you’ll end up leaving as disappointed as us and our children.
It won’t be a caravan site I will be booking to stay at again.

Well apart from the strong winds and the nerve ending rain we had a lovely time as usual.

Mike the warden on Grove field is such a nice person.
He went out of his way to help me when my caravan started leaking by finding my some steps so it could be fixed.
Always pleasant and a friendly smile and a wave.

Green keepers on unity

They did a lovely job cutting the grass on touring fields ready for our tourers to visit ,and have nice grass to sit out side our caravan .And we have young children and they can play outside the tent,thank you again it looks lovely,The man that did it on the 15th june worked hard well done .

Angry at the money grabbing owners

Caravans and amenities on opposite sides of main rd,car needed to get there daily plus having to pay to park on arrival. Swimming costs £13.50 for 45 minutes IF you’re lucky enough to get in. No outdoor pool available despite being advertised. Train not working. Food and drink expensive.Nothing like the brochure and wouldn’t go there again even if they gave us a free caravan,don’t know how they get away with the misrepresentation it’s a rip off.
