Excellent

My nephew and I have just got back from staying here for 3 nights .. we was touring on our motorbikes .
What a lovely place to stay , Patricia the owner was lovely and a great host , can not fault the Compton in any way , the place is full of character and in a great location with the village square only a 5 minute walk away .

Lovely stay in a beautiful Georgian house

We enjoyed a lovely stay in this beautiful b&b. The decor in this Georgian period house is amazing. It's full of lots of interesting things. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The large gardens are beautiful and we sat out on a couple of evenings enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Our host Patricia was very helpful and did everything to ensure that we had a fantastic stay. The breakfasts were superb with a huge selection on offer plus any requests catered for.
The historic town of Axbridge is quiet with a pub in easy walking distance. There is also a lovely tea room. The location is ideal for visits to Wells, Glastonbury and the surrounding areas.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and only wish it could have been longer!

We had an exceptional stay at Compton House. Our room felt luxurious - it was beautiful, spacious, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable, with a great bed that guaranteed us a perfect night’s sleep. Patricia was a wonderfully welcoming host who made us feel completely at home and truly spoilt us throughout our stay.
Breakfast was delicious, with an impressive variety of food served in a spectacular dining room. The entire house is elegant, warm, and stately, filled with interesting art and antiques, yet still homely and inviting. It’s peaceful, beautifully furnished, and perfectly located with amazing walks and stunning scenery right on the doorstep.
We couldn’t be happier with our stay - highly recommended.

This is a lovely old house on the edge of the gem of the small town of Axbridge. The house has individual rooms, individually decorated and positioned. Our South Room was clean, light and airy, with a very comfortable double bed.
Patricia, the host, was so helpful and thoughtful. Even though we had an early leave in order to catch a flight, she provided us with tea and coffee at 0630! What a star!

We had a 2 night stay, though wanted to stay longer. The Compton House was lovely. We explored the grounds and loved the garden seating area. Patricia was very welcoming and made us feel at home. She was soo accommodating. We had access to the rest of the house which was like being in Bridgerton.
Room was clean and cosy. Homemade fruit compote for breakfast with breakfast made to order. Great selection of fruit, yogurt and teas.
Very well located for visiting Cheddar, Axbridge and Wells.
Would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.
