Couldn't recommend this place more! We were here during the hottest part of summer, so the first thing that comes to mind is how great the AC was. We stayed in one of the private rooms. Between how kind and helpful Anvar was, the delicious breakfast prepared by the staff, the convenient locaton and peaceful green courtyard... This might be one of my favorite places I have ever stayed, it was such a wonderful introduction to Uzbekistan.
I also fel that the pricing was very reasonable! Note that there is no longer a pool, just FYI.

Stayed there 2 times in 1 trip( many travelled in Uzbekistan ) . Very friendly hosts. Everything was nice. Delicious breakfast , rooms are clean , good cleaning . Special thanks to Christine (cleans rooms ) . Anwar (keeps a guest house) helped with advice , without problems room payment accepted by transfer and changed us money. Convenient location,sightseeing nearby.All advised! If you go back to Uzbekistan, only there!!

Price issues / Refused to host me

Absolutely unbelievable and unprofessional attitude. Booked for a total price of USD 13.13 through booking. Upon arrival, staff wanted to charge >USD 16 (on the basis of additional taxes) which I contested saying that USD 13.13 was the price I confirmed with no further taxes being stated (see screenshot). No apology for the erroneous price, no offer to meet in the middle from the manager. In accordance with him, I then cancelled the reservation so I would at least save a bit paying them directly for the room – and they ended up refusing to host me for "your attitude". My attitude: Expecting businesses to have their actual prices reflected across platforms, and if they don't, take responsibility for it. Not too much to expect, I think.

Anvar and family was very hospitable. The place is family friendly, breakfast was provided and its a good place to stay :)

We had a nice stay at Anvar's Guests. The guesthouse has a cute courtyard with plants and birds (the birds can be a bit loud in the morning!), and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good, with freshly cooked eggs and fresh fruit every day.
The property is a little run down, though. The mattress was very hard - in general mattresses in Uzbekistan seem to be harder than what we're used to from Europe, but this was the hardest we experienced!
