Friendly hotel on an idyllic location

Friendly hotel on an idyllic location between two ponds. Friendly welcome from a lady who speaks good English. My room was quite big and had airco, a fridge with a minibar, tv, a sitting space, a desk and a bath room. WiFi functioned only downstairs in the breakfast room and on the terrace, not in the rooms. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. The restaurant is very good as well. Superb terrace on the water with a view on the pond. Tapolca can be reached by a direct train from Budapest. Good location for walks. Lots of buses and trains.

Great location

Great location for this smaller hotel, right in the center of Tapola. The staff was nice and they have a great restaurant. The chestnut puree desert was incredible!! The only issue I had was very week wifi as I stayed at an end room. This place is especially nice in the summer as you can sit out. Been eating here on/off for years.

Great location

We spent one night here, the location is just amazing! The hotel is middle of the town next to the lake. Our room had a lake view, it was big with everything we needed. Wifi was also working great! We loved the breakfast, dinner not so much. Parking is also available which we really appreciated.

Network issues

Nice location by the lake. Check-in receptionist lady was not friendly and not helpful at all.
Room was clean and big enough. It has a desk in it but lighting is not enough to work. Wifi and internal phone did not work at all.
Breakfast was OK but they have a ridiculous coffee machine.
Check-out receptionist lady was nice.

Lovely lunch, professional staff, pleasant surroundings.

It helps if you speak German when visiting this region. The food was very good, and the staff very professional and friendly. We were made to feel welcome, were very happy with our food. Enjoyed sitting out on the lake.
