Good location, excellent value for money

It is located close to the Sárvár Bath, a few minutes walk. Modern building, with paid parking in the private yard for 2400 HUF/day. The rooms are in great condition, modern, tidy and clean. I missed a few things, the receptionist helped me very well. Quiet rooms, you didn't hear any noise. Reception is available by phone until 10 pm. Breakfast was perfect, I attached a few pictures of it. Delicious fruits, fresh coffee, pancakes, I would especially highlight the herbal tea, it was very delicious! I am completely satisfied with the price-value ratio. I found the accommodation on Booking.com, I thought I would book it on the accommodation's own website, but for some reason it was more expensive there, I didn't really understand this.

Be aware - this hotel is non-refundable

We booked this hotel vis Booking.com and afterwards we got a message from the hotel telling the hotel was under renovation. We therefore wanted to cancel the booking. But despite lots of effort, we were not allowed and the hotel keept all the money.

Dear Christina,
Thank you for the detailed review. As we already did multiple times, we would like to address the situation again.
We contacted you firstly about the ongoing constructions on the 9th of October, after one day of you making the reservation. It is very important to state that, we informed you WITHIN the free cancellation period, as we understand that people may change their plans because of the construtions. You stated that you would like to cancel your stay, and we replied to you that you can do it through the Booking.com website.
However on the 16th of October, on the day of your arrival your reservation was still active, so my collegaues contacted you, wheter you would like to still come to our hotel. Your stated that yes, you will be arriving to our hotel. Later that day we contacted you again, with the request of your personal data for late check-in procedure. You answered again and sent us the data requested, which insured us again that you are coming, so we saved you the room, sent you the informations for the late check-in, and check you in for the room with the data you provided. The next day we reached out again, asking wether you would like to still come later (as you didn't arrive the previous day). After all of this you said, that you found another hotel and you would like to get a refund.
Since the reservation has not been canceled since October 9, even though it could have been canceled free of charge under the cancellation policy: "Guests can cancel their reservation free of charge up to 7 days prior to arrival." Therefore, we will treat the amount paid as a penalty in accordance with the regulations. "No-show policy: If the guest does not show up, the full price will be charged."
All the messages are on Booking.com you can/could read everything clearly.
We are truly sorry about the inconvenience, but we made sure to inform and help you all the way. We did everything we could, to help and assist you with everything.

First time in Hungary on business and room was comfortable and spacious. The room was clean, and the staff was the best most of all. They made us feel welcome and very accommodating at reception and at the restaurant. The restaurant had great food and desserts!! Just a wonderful group of people. It made my stay so much more memorable.
