Wonderful hospitality in beautiful Northern Hungary

We enjoyed genuine hospitality and care throughout our stay at Rozsakert Vendeghaz in Romhany. The guest house is clean, comfortable and cosy with excellent value for price. The owner is extremely friendly, welcoming and he helped us a lot with sightseeing and activities in the area. He has a vast knowledge about the region and does everything possible to create an enjoyable stay for his guests. He made a delicious, hearty breakfast using home grown vegetables and herbs. We also loved the sports facilities provided by the guesthouse (bikes, badminton, table tennis, etc.) and had a great time relaxing in its salt chamber. The guesthouse is located close to the supermarket, and Romhany, the village itself is only about 80 km from Budapest. It can be easily reached by bus, too and there are plenty of excursion options in the neighbourhood. Our tour highlights in Romhany were strolling through the village admiring the beautiful scenery, watching the sunset from the hill of Rakoczi's famous Turkish hazelnut tree, observing animals on the fields during early morning hours and chatting with the friendly local people. The nearby village of Bank offers a fantastic lake for swimming, and there is a breathtaking mountain view from the Pronay lookout tower, which can be reached from Romhany by hiking through the forest - both were superb excursions which we would do again! We highly recommend Rozsakert Vendeghaz in Romhany to everyone who is looking for peace, serenity and truly hospitable people in the countryside.
