It's a good hotel. Very basic, but still comfortable, and the hotel does well with the things that really matter, like good Aircon, hot water shower, and a good mattress. The location, just across from the train station, is convenient for trains (obviously :-) and the weekend train market. There are several good restaurants nearby. Parking is limited, but seemed adequate for the number of guests. The staff is super nice. Cheers.

Hotel without charm

Maison de Cheer is a hotel without any charm. The room is okay, a fine bed and a full bathroom. There is just no Mood in the room and the hotel.
A cat was sleeping on the desk at the reception and that was perhaps the only really remarkable thing about the hotel.
Breakfast is meagre and a bit messy.
The hotel is next to the station but to get to the center you have to walk a bit, many tourists cross the rails but that is entirely at your own risk.

Actually returned there a second while traveling the area . Staff are absolutely awesome!!!

The price was so good we booked two rooms, one for the wife and myself and one for my MIL. The hotel is clean and within walking distance of several dim sum restaurants as well as the Trang Railway Station area.
If you are driving there is adequate parking outside in front of the library next door.
The staff were all incredibly polite and helpful, the hotel is clean and well kept. The rooms are pretty large size, the beds are comfortable as are the pillows. The bathroom is not huge but the shower is of good size. They provide a small refrigerator and free water each day.
Our only cons were it can get a big noisy with large bus tour groups (many of them youth groups) coming in and out, outside of floors 4 and 5 is an atrium that is all tile so the sound just echoes. Also, the train tracks are directly across the street although no trains run at night. Another small gripe is there is no furniture in the room, although they have a makeup table with a stool there is no table and chairs for sitting and working or eating.
Although we had a few small complaints overall we were very happy with the hotel and would stay here again, especially at the price we paid.
