Don’t stay here with kids!!!
This hotel put our children’s health at risk and then tried to avoid responsibility.
After swimming in their pool, both of our children suffered severe chemical skin burns/rashes. The hotel staff tested the pool water themselves and confirmed the chemical balance was dangerously wrong. When the first test showed extremely unsafe levels, the staff removed the test kit and refused to show us the original results.
Instead of closing the pool or protecting guests, they simply added more water and claimed everything was “safe again.” The attached photo was taken AFTER they diluted the pool — and even then the chemical readings were still clearly outside safe levels.
We immediately packed our belongings and left because we no longer trusted the hotel or felt safe letting our children stay there.
Days later, our children’s condition became so serious that we had to take them to the hospital. The doctor confirmed the injuries were caused by pool exposure and ordered them to avoid pools, the ocean, and sun exposure for at least a week.
Even after receiving medical documentation proving the injuries, the hotel still refused to take full responsibility and only refunded 30% of our stay.
The most terrifying part is not just the dangerous pool conditions — it is the dishonesty and complete lack of accountability:
- Unsafe chemical levels
- Hiding the first test results
- Fake “solution” by adding water
- Continuing to allow guests into the pool
- Refusing proper compensation after children required hospital treatment
This hotel should never place guests — especially children — in this kind of danger.
We travel often around the world and have NEVER experienced anything this irresponsible, unsafe, and disturbing.
If you care about your family’s safety, stay somewhere else.

The rooms seem a bit dated too and could do with some renovations (had a leaking bathroom sink which had water spilling on the floor), however the breakfast which you order to your room was top notch. Really enjoyed the Eggs Benedict and would highly recommend it.
As it is low tide season from the looks of things, the beach which the front part of the resort/hotel wasn’t too appealing.
All in all, a bit disappointed considering the price I had to pay for one night, compared to the overall condition of the property and room.

I wished they’d have cleaned our private pool, since it became full of leaves and debris - leaving it unusable.
The pool was also very cold. Both the private and the public one.
They have great cocktails, but the food in the restaurant is not worth the price. We had to wait an hour to get the food and when it arrived it was already cold. My advice is to skip the food and get the drinks!
The beach is sadly unusable for most of the day (depending on the tide of course!). But I can’t really fault the hotel for nature’s doing…
All in all, it has great potential. It just needs some love :)
