Lovely little hotel.
Very pleasant and smiling staff (do not speak much English but just enough to understand each other) the bungalow is clean (cleaning can be done every day just ask) the breakfast is really cheap (50 bath ) with choice. The pool was cleaned several times during our stay. The hotel is located 1/4 hour from Charlie Beach on foot, no need for a motorbike. In the evening to avoid the mosquitoes from the nearby restaurant The Hill we went to eat on Charlie Beach.

Great place
The family was very nice and helpful! They made us feel very welcomed and cooked us our breakfasts with pleasure:) Our vacation on this island was beautiful, quiet and peaceful. we really enjoyed the island and the bungalow and would definitely recommend it.

Rude owners and bungalows in very bad state
A very unpleasant experience at PhuSamBig "Resort". I would not recommend staying here on Koh Mook. From the initial check in we were treated rudely by the owner/manager in charge. We had booked an air conditioned bungalow for a discounted rate on account of them being a new host on airbnb. We were told what we paid was too low, and that after the first two of our five night stay the air conditioned bungalows were all booked, so we were forced to downgrade to a very small, unclean, extremely hot fan bungalow for no discounted rate. After we moved to the fan bungalow, the air conditioned bungalows remained vacant, except for one which some of the staff began to use. We felt extremely ripped off as we were lied to about the air conditioned bungalows being previously booked so that we would have to move to the fan bungalow for the same rate we paid for the air conditioned one. The doors of the fan bungalows do not lock, so beware of your belongings. There are no blankets available for sleeping and no new water each day. I've stayed at many places throughout Thailand and this was the first bad experience I encountered with such rude and un-welcoming staff. The communication between the manager/owner was extremely difficult as she spoke no English. Not to mention that currently the resort is undergoing renovations, and the "garden and pond" is now a massive hole with construction from the early morning to late evening. Overall I would not recommend staying here on Koh Mook as it is not only questionable if you will get what you paid for, but you will be treated very unfairly and rudely by the staff. There are many other nice bungalows on the island for similar prices near Charlie beach that would be a better value for money.

Terrible
Terrible owner (no one speaks English except little boy), terrible bungalows (insect infested), terrible views and ambience (big concrete hole with construction ongoing all day). Downgraded from an a/c bungalow to small fan bungalow for no good reason, even though booking and payment was received for the a/c bungalow.

Excellent
Lovely little resort in a jungle environment yet only about 400 metres from the beach. Very relaxed natural environment with basic clean bungalows. Great WI FI and air con and extremely lovely family running the resort. Would definitely stay again.
