the best location on Chanthaburi waterfront
I've been staying at Tamajun Hotel a few times and I dare say that all the rooms are clean, highly functional and very suitable for all ages.
The only gripe is the lack of lifts so every night is a stair climb up to the room. Quite a challenge especially having had some drinks.
They have started serving buffet breakfast, which is a delight since the food is clean and decent.
My favourite tomyum stall is only a few meters away, and if breakfast can't fill, there's many choices nearby to choose from. Kway chap is famous and the mooping corner has fragrance that will whet your appetite surely, even with a hangover from the night before.
Thanks to all the staff for making my stay so comfortable.
I will be back again soon.

Good decoration, nice hotel,slow service
We choosed this place because of nice review in the internet.even hight price rate in agoda it's our 4th time in Janthabure province and we naver stay in this hotel before. When we had checkin in discription of agoda webside we shout got comlimentary welcome drinks but we did't only one reception staff waitting for us and gretting to our room we got r.203 orange room and dinosaw staf haha so cute, thanks owner whos create type of decoration i love your ideas so much! Only one complan about staff in the breakfast even not busy season but it's Sunday morning guys! Everyone deserved avilable table for breakfast the staff (that i saw) stay chills with her phone and chitchat with her friends, and lets most of the table with finished cutlery for left other guest. Only one movement we saw is have new guest ask for clean table for his breakfast. Food at the breakfast line was fine, local food coffee tea and bread and never fill up orange juice.
Checkout time was ok, notthing special and never hear thank you from staff, thanks.
I like this location and decoration of this hotel so much.
Not recomment for who looking for nice takecare you can select other nice hotel in tha same rate and better takecare (even lower rate)

Cool !
Trendy rooms, very helpful staff, good breakfast choices, great location in old riverside area. Really cool bar with river views and live music most nights. I would advise the application of a bit of mozzy cream in the evening though

Disappointed stay
I were stay in Deluxe room (riverside) for 1 night.
Service: not well trained and unfriendly. They were 4 of female staff were concentrating at their phone and eating at restaurant. They didn’t even recognize that there were guests came to them. After processed the check in, staff didn’t give any information about hotel rules, how to use key, TV, Internet, etc. I had to asked her to get those information.
Room: I got room next to terrace. It’s extremely hot even I turned A/C on for half hour. I called the staff for assistance, they asked one person then that person asked another to into it. They didn’t call Engineering or specialist staff who can fixed A/C. They gave the executed that usually happen for that room, (so what? I paid same rate as other room). I asked them to changed room, they said yes and rolled her eyes in front of me(unbelievable). They have live band perform during night ( I stayed on Saturday night), all music, cooking, making drinks(blending) sounds went to the room. No sound proof at all.
Location: convenience location
Room facilities: No hair dryer
Food: average price and quality

Retro yet Modern
I always stay at Tamajun when I visit Chanthaburi. It is a nicely decorated, modern yet with a pinch of retro in the design and layout. The rooms are functional, although not the 5-star comforts you'd find in a built up city. Well, this is after all Chanthaburi, not Bangkok as we know it.
Love this place for the view of the river. The slow pace of life, never too fast, yet always moving in a peculiar way.
Enjoy this getaway like a retreat of sorts, although it can get quite a bit of foot traffic on weekends.
