Great place

Am I the only person reviewing this hotel? I've stayed at Dream Boutique several times, dating back about 5 years. I can't say enough about this hotel. Owners are great people, very helpful and interesting to chat with. Rooms range from 600b to 1200b. This time I booked a queen room (800b) for 7 nights. One of the most comfortable beds I've slept on in Thailand (world capital of the rock-hard bed). Room had a recliner chair, desk, wardrobe, full size fridge, kitchenette with sink, dishes, microwave, and kettle, balcony with table and chairs, quiet AC, and a hot water shower. Wifi was strong and fast. TV was a bit old, but worked fine, with just a few English channels. No fancy amenities like shampoos or ear buds, but otherwise all you really need for a comfortable stay. The beach is a 2 minute walk, and there are numerous restaurants, som tam carts, seafood stalls, and 7-11 in the immediate area. Beer bars and a sports bar are a short walk away on Soi Bus Station. Nice and quiet at night time, slept great at night. Can't go wrong here, I'll return again and again.

My go-to hotel in Chaam

Dream Boutique Hotel is my go-to hotel when in Cha-am. Great small family run hotel just a 1 minute walk to the beach. Rooms are clean and well appointed, with a soft comfy bed, hot shower, fan and AC, wardrobe, modern TV, kitchenette, sofa, and desk/eating area. Nice balcony too. They even have a lift, despite being only 4 floors high. Ground floor is a great place to hang out, with comfortable seating and great conversations with the owners and guests. Prices range from 600b to 1200b per night, with long term discounts. They rent scooters and bicycles too. Will definitely return.

Great Hotel

Dream hotel was a great place to stay. I booked a standard room which came with a full-size bed (a bit small), wardrobe w/safe, 2 small tables, bathroom with hot water, AC, balcony, and kitchen. Kitchen had fridge, kettle, microwave, and dishes. Balcony had a table and chairs. Room was very comfortable and brightly lit. Wifi was stable. They also offer good deals for monthly stays. Staff were excellent, very helpful and kind. The lobby was very comfortable too, great place to relax with a beer or coffee. Location is perfect, just a few steps to the beach, and restaurants are everywhere. I would happily stay here again.

Brilliance on a Budget

Less than 1/2 a block from the beach and yet quietly tucked away on the main drag, is the Dream Boutique Hotel. It was our first visit here and to Cha Am and probably won't be our last. Hosts Tony and his drop-dead gorgeous wife Kenya could not have been more accommodating. We'd been traveling for a while by the time we arrived with an accompanying small mountain of laundry; all taken care of washed and folded for a pittance (maybe $7 US). The room itself reminded me of a much sought after studio apartment if I were a grad student. The bathroom was small and efficient the room itself was large and replete with good sized refrigerator, microwave, sink, dinnerware, dish washing soap. There was a desk, generous storage space, a recliner, minuscule deck with chairs and table to view the ocean. If the bed were a Murphy (pull-down) it couldn't have been more efficient. We got the impression that once people found out about this cost effective treasure they returned again and again. We look forward to visiting charming Cha Am and the Dream Boutique very soon.

What's not to love?

The owners are Tony (Australia) and the lovely Kanya (Thailand). The place is spotless! Absolutely clean, organized and so much on offer. Read my other reviews and see how picky I am, but for this budget hotel one cannot say anything other than 5 stars. It even has an elevator and is handicap accessible. At 1200 for a weekend night we got an enormous room (spotless), a lovely glass walled shower (large-ish, and yes spotless), a spring coiled mattress which really delivered, a lounge chair, a desk (actually two of them) and a little kitchenette with kettle and microwave and coffee on the house. The balcony is large with a table, two lounge chairs and a ceramic ashtray. The street is quiet. The curtains are blackout so if you like it pitch dark you get it. Towels are thick and ample, there's soap in the shower. Scooters (motor bikes, all automatic) are cheapest in the city at 200 or 300 THB (depending on size) for the entire day!!! Bicycles are 50THB a day. Loads of books in the lobby, ample English TV stations on the flatscreen in the room, and courteous, knowledgeable staff and proprietors. Free good fast internet. The beach is 50m away. You cannot complain because there's nothing to complain about. A roof top deck with BBQ to boot. Right downtown, one block from the bars....Cha Am is a bit sleepy and isn't Bangkok, but that's why you are here....for the beaches and chill. And if you are here, this is where you stay. Thanks guys for a great stay.
