I am very satisfied with my recent stay at this hotel and will definitely choose it again the next time I visit Bangkok.
Everything was excellent, but I would especially like to highlight:
The staff: Incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always helpful.
The cleanliness: The housekeeping team did a fantastic job every day.
The pool area: A wonderful and relaxing place to spend time.
The fitness center: OK-equipped and great for a good workout.
The location: Perfect and very convenient for exploring the city.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bangkok!

Wow What a Room View
I have been looking forward to staying at this Nana hotel for quite some time. The desire is pure curiosity. I have stayed at many Bangkok hotels, and I am looking to explore the link between old Bangkok and the new modern Bangkok. I first arrived in the city in 1989 and am somewhat fascinated and caught up in the old city I knew. This hotel was an attempt to see an unchanging old school style Bangkok hotel.
I stayed twice in the same month and had two different rooms in different parts of the hotel and over all I am happy with the quality of the rooms and the level of service given the price paid.
If you look at the exterior of the hotel it really doesn’t look so appealing. It’s somewhat dark looking and certainly not the prettiest building. But I would not let that put you off staying here. It wins on affordability, efficient helpful staff, location and an amazing city view. For the price paid I feel it’s a wonderful option and I would certainly return.
The hotel is at the very end of Soi (street) 4 Nana. This area of the city is famous for its nightlife and a walk along Soi 4 certainly makes it pretty clear the nature of the nightlife in this part of Bangkok. There is the huge adult entertainment area called Nana Plaza at the start of the soi. If you are in Bangkok looking to party and enjoy this particular kind of nightlife, it’s the perfect hotel. The walk from the main road Sukhumvit to the hotel is a significant walk and even further from the nearest sky train station Nana. And Bangkok sidewalks are not the easiest to navigate. I would not recommend the walk from Sukhumvit Rd. and especially in the heat. But the hotel does run a shuttle service Tuk Tuk back and forth to the main Sukhumvit Rd. which is a great relief. In the heat with a suitcase that can be a challenging walk.
In terms of location the hotel is far enough away from the noisy bars and restaurants of Nana Soi 4. But certainly, close enough so that you feel you are still in the heart of the action. And thankfully no need for an expensive taxi back to your hotel room and suffering Bangkok traffic.
There is a great pool, and I would check out what times the sun actually shines onto the pool if sunbathing is your thing. For sure there is limited time the pool is actually sunlit. It’s not a huge space, but a great spot to relax, grab a cold beer and cool off. There are enough sun loungers, a pool table and a small gym. So, if you desire an hour or two escapism from the madness of the city then this hotel can certainly provide that.
On the ground floor there is a hairdresser and massage service is available. I didn’t actually eat in the hotel but there is a large restaurant, and I have no doubt quality food is available and of course room service.
Now the real winner here is the view from certain rooms. It would be advisable to ask for a room that overlooks the huge park behind. There is a khlong (canal) below meaning that the view will never be blocked by the construction of an adjacent building. You are blessed with a stunning city view across the lush green park, and the skyscrapers in the distance. This is the real appeal and anyone waking up to this view cannot help but feel energised by this truly incredible city.
Now I stayed twice at the hotel and took rooms in different parts of the hotel. I was offered a smoking room and declined as it basically smelt of cigarette smoke. So, it may be something for you to consider when staying there. One room was a short walk from the reception to the far end of the building and so separate from the main block. Thus, not the amazing panoramic view I wanted but still the view was of palm trees and sky which for a city hotel is amazing. This room was so cosy, with light streaming in and I don’t know why but there was something so likeable about it. It was actually hard to leave this room. The bathroom was fine and with good water pressure and with free soap and shampoo. The other room I stayed in the other week was so much larger and can be described as a suite. It had a separate room with kitchen counter and couch. A short corridor took you through to the main bedroom. This separation gave you the sense of staying in your own apartment. In fact, it’s the same size as many Bangkok condos. The rooms were well designed, clean and provided all I needed. Huge cupboards and a lovely balcony. And as mentioned blessed with the most stunning view of the city.
The room has plenty of tea and coffee, a fridge and the bathroom was adequate with good water pressure. Good air-conditioning and huge cupboards with enough space for all my items. Overall, for the price paid I feel this hotel is an excellent city centre option right in the heart of the nightlife.

Amazing Songkran Experience
Probably the best night vibes around Soi 4 during Songkran! While the road gets very busy and loud - since the hotel rests at the end of the road one can have a quiet peaceful night even while Bangkok parties all night. Stay was comfortable. Helpful staff. Free tuktuk rides to BTS.

Good location. Quiet Rooms. Shower was good, wish the water was a little warmer. Wonderful staff. Breakfast buffet was better than most for me. There was more food for an American breakfast than you will find in other places in Bangkok. The pool and pool area were good, the pool could use a good cleaning, but was not so bad as you I felt uncomfortable in the water. Over all I would not have any problem staying here again.

Because the war in the midle east started the same day I was going to Thailand my flight was canceled.
I had paid in advance for one week stay in this hotel. I told the hotel staff immediatley that I had no choice but to cancel and ask for a refund.
Nanatai hotel kept my money and refused to give anything back.
I heard this from Hotels.com, the hotel itself don't even answer my mail.
