not a good hotel at all
the check in process was very quick so that was good but the lobby area is very outdated and in need of serious upgrades.
on leaving the lift on the 17th floor i was met with something i can only describe as a throwback to the 60's with gaudy colours on different walls.
when entering my room once again i found it was very outdated and in serious need of a refurb....don't get me wrong the room was clean but everything was old and most of the cupboard doors didn't shut properly.
there was a fridge in the room but the ice box freezer compartment looked like it had the iceberg in it that sank the titanic.
the room did have a digital safe in the wardrobe which was big enough to fit in my ipad so that was a good point.
The carpet in my room was very stained with god knows what and also had several burns in it from people ironing on the floor.
the windows had old wooden venetian blinds that let massive amounts of light in when the sun rose in the morning so trying to get a lie in was impossible.
the bathroom was clean but looking very tired and the towels that were changed daily were more grey looking than white and getting a bit threadbare around the edges.
now onto the breakfast....the breakfast was not good at all with the same items every day and most of it i couldn't eat as it seemed like it should have been served for dinner not breakfast although a lot of asians were staying so i think mostly it was aimed at them so for me it was cornflakes and toast every morning so that could do with looking at.
The swimming pool area was clean and tidy but was fairly small with only 4 sunbeds which i should imagine can be a pin in busy periods also no refreshments available at the pool.
towels were provided but sometimes there was none available and just like the ones in the rooms they was a little threadbare.
The location was good though in the heart of Sukhumvit so plenty of bars around and also not far from the large terminal 21 shopping centre and trains
As I have said i never paid a fortune for this hotel so i really shouldn't be expecting too much
