A peaceful home within the chaos of the city

We are a couple in our early 30s visiting Thailand for the first time. We originally stayed in a hotel but decided go do a couple of extra nights in Bangkok. We found Jam Hostel and booked a private room which was much cheaper than our original accommodation. I was blown away by how much of a great place to stay it was! So much so that we booked it again when we returned to Bangkok after visiting the islands.
We have just stayed for an additional 4 nights. The staff are amazing, they couldn’t be more helpful. We were posting a suitcase home and we were able to arrange to leave it with reception for collection which saved us waiting around all day.
They put on a breakfast spread every morning, they have games and paints and a guitar for people to use. It has a really homely and peaceful feel with enough going on if you want to socialise but also no loud noise so you can sleep and chill. I think most of the young party people go to Mad Monkey next door (which you could still go to to socialise!)
The rooms are basic but beds are comfy and the TVs are smart TVs with Netflix etc. I also liked that you can physically open the windows as well as having strong aircon.
The location is fab. It’s very walkable, but you can also get a Grab to most parts of the city for less than £5 as well as a boat stop a few mins away. The road has lots of cafes and restaurants and trees and we felt very safe walking at any time day and night. There is a 7/11 directly opposite. Khao San road is a short walk away, but if that’s too crazy there are several other roads off it with chilled bars with comfy chairs and live music. The good thing about being near the bars is you can explore the city in the day and then easily find lots of places to eat and drink when you are tired!
We hope to come back to Bangkok again and will definitely choose Jam Hostel if we do!

Nice activities

Im really happy with the activities we did in the hostel. For instance for Halloween we had a party including a scavenger hunt, where my group won a free night in the hostel. The day afther we went to a very nice muay thai fight and that activity was even free.

Lovely hostel!

This is a nice, clean, and well-located hostel, just a 5-minute walk to Khao San Road. It's not very social, but the hostel also organizes some great activities. The staff were friendly and helpful! The cleanliness was impressive. Breakfast was satisfying, featuring mostly fruits, which were exactly what I wanted. I would definitely stay here again!

Friendly & clean hostel in Bangkok

Centrally located and friendly hostel at walking distance from many of the most important temples.
The staff was very friendly and helpful (they even helped us organize our transfer bus to Chiang Mai).
The room was clean, a simple breakfast was included (fruit, bread, jam, etc).

Just book it you wont regret it

The best hostel i have stayed at in Bangkok.
Friendly people, super nice and helpful staff, everyday activities.
Great atmosphere in the bar at the top floor.
Rooms clean and modern, not like the other hostels ive stayed at.
Will go again before i leave Bangkok.
