Friendly staffs, great location, clean room
Even offers free city pass during the stay. Overall, it’s a great stay in Bern.
It would be even better if the room is equipped with a mini fridge.

The Moxy Bern was full of promise but there were too many errors that made the trip problematic. I am a patient traveller rolling with the punches so for me to complain it is strange. 1. When I checked in ghey hadn’t put us in a family room. No biggie. They gave a second room for my daughter for the first night. It meant that we had to unpack, pack, leave our luggage in a luggage room and then move rooms after a day of activity. They gave us breakfast vouchers which was nice. 2. We checked in to a family room the next day and the air conditioning wasn’t working. We asked for support but they couldn’t fix it. We toughed it out on the job promise they’d fix it. We left for the day, came back and… still broken. The room was a sweltering 25+ degrees. Maybe more importantly, no one called to apologize, offer another room, or explain the problem. I let them know on my way out but there was no concession or offer to comp one night. In the end, disappointing. The staff was kind but they should have more autonomy to deal with these kinds of issues.

Good Stay at Moxy Bern

We had a very good stay at this hotel in Bern. Our rooms were clean and inviting. Normal for Moxy hotels, there was no closet or clothes iron in the room. Despite being next to a train station, we barely heard any noise as the windows were very soundproof. The lobby area doubled as a bar that had plenty of space to sit and relax. There was a nostalgic NES system in the lobby too to play classic Nintendo games. All the staff we encountered at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
The hotel was located adjacent to a train station, and we were told at check-in that there are frequent trains to central Bern and we could get free passes. We did not take the trains though as we had a car and parked in the underground lot. The lot was connected to the hotel via the elevator. However, the lot was not owned by the hotel and we had to pay every time we entered or exited. We stayed here over the weekend and the area was very quiet. We noticed many of the nearby restaurants were not open. The area did get much busier on Monday morning as commuters were coming to work in the adjacent offices. There was a small Coop supermarket in the hotel’s building that was very convenient when it was open.

The rooms are okay and offer decent value for money. A big advantage is the very convenient access to public transport the tram or S-Bahn to Bern is extremely practical.

City hotel right next to the Expo and Stadium

Practical hotel cozy bar. Room ok and clean.
Breakfast quite ok. Service at bar and reception very accommodating.
In 10 minutes by tram downtown.
Parking garage connected to hotel.
Ideal for a weekend in Bern, when the price is rather moderate.
