Perfect Service by Gabriel Sandru

The Campenement is a little paradise. It is very clean since the huts and the beach get cleaned daily. The crew is very friendly and motivated and leaves the impression of a positive team dynamic. The food was fantastic, especially the breakfest in the Baobab Tree. Gabriel (interim manager) is perfectly organised and planned daytrips to the hyena reservat and the mangroves and our 6h transport to St. Louis for us. It was a pleasure staying there!

Overpriced !

Being a regular at this establishment I came back confident. The welcome from Ibou, the new manager, is flawless, the waitress Émilie is perfect and makes a lot of effort to satisfy the customers we were, only 3 people in the room (us). The cuisine, where I found Norbert who has been working in this place for several years, is good and unpretentious.
On the other hand, the bill, a real scam. In February 2023 meals at 6,500 Fcfa (€10) per person starter, main course and dessert. Well we went to 20,000 Fcfa (€30) for the same service. A record!!
After contacting Mrs. Monica STEPPE, the operations manager, I was greeted by an imbut person who was not attentive at all, even allowing herself to doubt my skills by sending me an SMS. I specify that I am a former restaurateur and in Senegal since 2003
In conclusion, an establishment which calls itself a Lodge which absolutely does not have the level, I strongly advise against it, there are plenty of other good places in Palmarin.

watch your money!

Unfortunately the place is falling apart. It looks like the place will be sold and without proper supervision, the left-over personnel decided to increase their wage by stealing money from the tourists.
So, if you decide to go there, pay attention! Is a pity because the place used to be a nice one!

Well run and kind management

We were a group of cyclists who had some stomach problems and the management were extremely kind in finding us some aloe Vera with honey a traditional cure I found in madagascar to settle our stomachs.
Lovely spacious bungalows and nice breakfast on the baobab tree.

Oase van rust - Calm place

Should stay in Djidjack for 1 night but the atmosphere was that great I stayed longer. The owners are very nice, the diner is good, also is breakfast! I used a tent, good price! A walk to Djiffer is recommended but don't expect you can do anything else here. I had the luck to meet another backpacker what makes my stay good but if you r alone its just a place to relax and enjoy the nature. I liked it!!!
