Hotel experience at its best.

Very appealing hotel experience. Good communication with the hotel before arrival, got help with early check-in and was even upgraded to a better room than I booked. Clear and clear info by receptionist. 24/7 coffee machine access in the lobby. Good breakfast. Tastefully decorated, both rooms, lobby, dining room and corridors(paintings). Absolutely perfect location right between train/bus station and beach. Despite the central location, quiet and quiet(not room facing the main street). Would love to come back.

Excellent hotel, great location, and awesome service

When I visit Sylt, quite often, I use to stay at van Stephan hotel. And this because the location is unbeatable (you are in the middle of happening in Westerland), and because it is one of the few hotels whose services keep improving every year.
I occupied recently the comfort room with terrace from the 4th floor, and everything was amazing. Big, renovated living, with exit to a large terrace with view over dunes, large bedroom with comfortable beds, and a nice bathroom with shower. Everything is spotless clean, and the breakfast room is bright and cozy, with a large choice of food…and sekt :) I have not enough words to recommend this hotel!

Great location

We stayed here for a few nights whilst visiting family in Sylt for a funeral. Great location for the station, shops, restaurants and beaches. The hotel is staffed with friendly people and easily accessed. The balcony was a nice touch whilst not making the room noisy. We didn’t eat in the hotel.

Friendly Atmosphere

On my business trips to the island of Sylt I like to stay in this hotel because it is within easy walking distance from the station and the beachfront is only about 500 metres away. They are in the process of refurbishing their rooms and if you're lucky (or you ask for one) you get a very cosy room indeed. I prefer the top floor were you also have a tiny roof terrace. The breakfast room has improved remarkably and what's on offer is excellent. I also praise their choice of tasteful music so as not to disturb your morning mood. Yes, the hotel entrance is a bit hidden but I feel this is an asset. During high season the rooms are quite expensive but that doesn't come as a surprise. A vast choice of restaurants and bars is around the corner.

Exzellenter Aufenthalt mit Sohn und Tochter und unserer Labrador Dame Coco in Westerland im Dezember 2022

Seit 2012 sind wir regelmäßig auf Sylt in Westerland und jedesmal im Hotel von Stephan.
Wenn wir uns am Anfang das große comfort Zimmer im 4. Stock geteilt haben, hatten wir diesmal 2 Zimmer, einmal ein wirklich schönes mit Blick auf die Friedrichstraße und unser Sohn mit Hundedame das Zimmer mit Eingang aus dem Hinterhof, damit er gassi gehen konnte und auf eine schnelle Zigarette raus konnte. Obwohl es im Hotel, für Raucher ein Raucherzimmer gibt.
Wie immer war das Frühstücksbuffet, welches die Chefin mit Liebe jeden Morgen vorbereitet der Hit des Tages.
Frische Brötchen und Brot vom lokalen Bäcker, frische Fischspezialitäten, Algensalat, Wurst und Käse, Butter und Frischkäse, Marmelade und Honig und Nussnougatcreme, Säfte, Wasser, Sekt, gekochte Eier und auf Bestellung Spiegelei und Omelett.
