Historic Hotel - Historic Hotel

I’ve stayed at the Alt Wassenberg multiple times over the years. It’s a quaint hotel in the heart of Wassenberg, run by a caring husband and wife. The rooms are immaculate and cosy with a hearty breakfast to start your day. Of an evening the warmth of the bar with its walls showing photos of the village history are quite simply beautiful.

Old Quaint Hotel

We stayed a few nights while in Wassenberg for a friend's wedding. The hotel's small and we stayed in a room at the side of the main building across the road from the buccaneer pub. The room was a bit dated but clean and functional. Breakfast was pretty typical for continental hotel's and was served in the main building beside the bar/lounge area.
The area around the hotel is very pretty and quiet, there's not much about really but on the Sunday we were there a street market set up and we had a walk around.
The pub beside the hotel was great for a few beers and the bar man was friendly and chatty.

Clean, but in desparate need of renovating

First I have to say, that the couple running this hotel are extremely nice. But, the hotel is very old fashioned and in desperate need of renovating. Look at the pictures. Room was clean, but old squeaking bed. Old TV. Old rugs on the floor. Not possible to put the shower up, the shower bar was broken. Breakfast is okay, basic. If the room had cost about E 50 I would have given a good review, but this was a normal price for a 3 star hotel and it didn't come near. Have the renovations done and I will think about coming back.

Quaint and tranquil hotel

An excellent hotel in a beautiful village. The owners treat you like family and are there to ensure your stay is peaceful. Breakfast is amazing and the evening beer cold and tasty. Will return and stay there for sure

Zeer charmant hotel

Tijdens een wandelvakantie 1 nacht in dit zeer charmante hotel verbleven, met grappige details op de kamers en in het restaurant. Gerund door gastvrij echtpaar, waardoor je je helemaal thuis voelt. En ‘s avonds heerlijk gegeten. Zie de foto.
