Very good hotel, clean and spacious room

The room was much larger than we expected same as the bathroom and spotless clean. Nice decorated also. Breakfast was good but nothing special, enjoyed the fresh bread though. We slept very well as the beds were quite comfortable. Forgot to mention that we arrived quite late (at around 10 pm) and I sent the hotel a quick message to let them know so we found the key to our room in the lobby on the counter. And the main door to the hotel was open of course. That's like life in a small village as it is a small village and there's not much you can find there other than the hotel and a deli shop and that's about it. However we found our stay to be a very nice experience overall. The only issue we encountered was that I couldn't pay by card as the card reader didn't work that morning. Luckily I had cash otherwise I guess I would have had to search for an ATM. We didn't try out the restaurant as we only spend one night there; we'll probably try it next time as it will be a next time.

Good to crash for a night and that's it...

Well located near to Saarland Thermes...friendly owner.
A bit over priced for what they offer...does not worth what they charge...
Good to crash for a night and that's it.
I'm very demanding with the places where I stay, so it was not a perfect and positive experience.
They have a lot to improve...in cleaning, breakfast and many other stuff...
Beds need new mattresses, hotel, bed linen and towels smelled cigarettes...no amenities in bathroom and breakfast was a bit poor...
Owner is very well intended but she could do much better with even less.
Stay there for a night...don't look to the mattress and you will be fine.

Brilliant stop over

The rooms were absolutely gorgeous, and top quality. We had a lovely night's sleep here.
The hotel is in a very quiet village, and this was a slight disappointment. This particular night the hotel was only serving pizza, and there was nowhere else within walking distance that we could go. After travelling all day, we didn't want to travel anywhere else, so pizza it was, though it turned out to be very nice!
Breakfast was excellent.
I would stay here again.

Great value for money!

We booked one night in Hotel Am Markt in October 2008. Although the hotel can be hard to find (follow the bus from Klein Bittersdorf near Saarbrucken and look for the restaurant name Don Giovanni) it is great value for money. We booked a double room through booking.com and paid 69 euro for 1 double bedroom including breakfast. The room was spotlessly clean and immaculate, the bed was fantastic, as were the pillows. The bathroom was spacious and clean, and since Sitterswald is a very small town, there was no noise from outside (we slept with the window open).
Breakfast was sufficient (great cake!) and plenty and the staff were really friendly. A great plus for us that we were able to enjoy dinner, eventhough we didn't arrive until 22.30 hrs!
Do not expect a 5 star experience, but this hotel gives you great value for money!

Muss nicht sein

Ich kann mich der Bewertung von Baernina nur anschließen. Das Hotel macht einen ungepflegten Eindruck, Zimmerschlüssel auf dem Tresen, Zimmer nur spärlichst eingerichtet , Metallstangen als Schrank, Tapete löst sich von der Decke, Zimmertürschloss könnte Öl vertragen. Seife & Duschshapoo fehlen, Fernseher nur mit Krusselbild, Frühstück ist "ausbaufähig" usw. Und das für einen Übernachtungspreis von 90€.
