A friendly, relaxed, and really comfortable hotel in a beautiful place.
The hotel atmosphere is calm and quiet. There is almost no traffic noise in this area, yet the hotel is very close to both public transport and private parking areas.
Rooms are spacious, stylish and very comfortable. Like everything else in this hotel, they are bright, clean and very well maintained.
The hotel boasts a small, but adequate, indoor pool. This is part of the wider Wellness offering that includes a spectacular Finnish sauna, a herbal sauna, a family (textile) sauna and a steam bath. There is also a wide selection of “Ruheraüme” where relaxation is guaranteed.
The restaurant serves a really impressive buffet breakfast (included in the room rate) with a huge choice. It becomes a café during the day and an À la Carte restaurant at night, serving plenty of seasonal and regional specialties at very reasonable prices. It includes several options for vegetarians too.
The staff in this hotel are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. The entire team, at Reception, in the restaurant, room cleaning staff or those who maintain the Wellness area, is happy to help with anything you require. Dealing with them is an enjoyable experience in itself!
For me this short break was an opportunity to do discover some walking opportunities in the Chiemgauer Alps. This is a great area for stunning forest walks and some fairly challenging local summits. Circular walks from Ruhpolding are certainly possible, and the free “Dorflinie” bus also enable linear walks from many key locations, such as the Chiemgauer Arena.
All in all, it is easy to recommend both Ruhpolding and the Ruhpoldinger Hof for a friendly, relaxed holiday. For me, this was my first visit, but certainly not my last!

Thanks for the great stay!
The breakfast really left nothing to be desired, and the dinner was also excellent – at absolutely fair prices. A special highlight was the newly designed sauna area of about 500 m2. Three saunas and many stylish relaxation rooms invite you to relax. There is also a textile sauna and a pool for children – perfect for families.
The Steinplatte ski area is only about 20 minutes away by car – ideal for a relaxing ski holiday.
We had a wonderful holiday and would love to come back!
