Incredibly beautiful restaurant 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

The Nautilus restaurant in Rügen is much more than just a place to eat – it is a journey into the fascinating world of Jules Verne. The entire interior is designed with exceptional attention to detail and is inspired by the famous novel. From the outside, the restaurant appears rather unremarkable, but as soon as one opens the door, one immerses oneself in an impressive maritime experience that engages all the senses.
Each room tells its own story and creates an atmosphere full of adventure, discovery, and imagination. The elaborate design makes the visit a special experience that remains memorable for a long time.
Culinarily, the Nautilus impresses on all levels. The dishes are excellently prepared and offer enjoyment at the highest level. The friendly, attentive, and always watchful staff additionally contributes to the feeling of being welcomed and well cared for from the very first moment.
A visit to the Nautilus is not only a delight for the palate but also for the senses. Anyone who is in Rügen should not miss this extraordinary restaurant. A reservation is highly recommended.
We will definitely come back!

Good food ends in disappointment

A $200 voucher was not accepted because the bill was only about $100. The indication that seats had also been reserved for the next evening, where the rest of the amount was to be used up, did not bring a solution to the problem. It was offered to take wine or sparkling wine with us for the rest of the amount. That was out of the question and the bill had to be paid without the voucher. Very disappointed, we then did not use the reservation the next evening, because the 200€ would again not have been reached.
Research after the vacation revealed that the voucher should have been accepted and the remaining amount should have been credited.

Vielen Dank für Ihre Rückmeldung. Hier müssen wir uns bei Ihnen ausdrücklich entschuldigen. Der Gutschein hätte angenommen werden müssen.
Bei älteren Gutscheinen, bei denen technisch keine Teileinlösung möglich ist, hätte der vollständige Gutschein abgerechnet und Ihnen der verbleibende Betrag als neues Guthaben auf einer BonVito-Karte ausgehändigt werden müssen. Dass Ihnen stattdessen angeboten wurde, den Restbetrag durch Wein oder Sekt aufzubrauchen, war keine richtige Lösung.
Besonders bedauerlich ist, dass wir dadurch nicht nur Ihre Enttäuschung verursacht, sondern auch Ihren bereits reservierten zweiten Besuch verloren haben.
Wir haben diesen Vorfall zum Anlass genommen, die Vorgehensweise nochmals verbindlich mit unserer gesamten Crew zu klären. Unsere neuen Gutscheine sind grundsätzlich teileinlösbar, sodass das Restguthaben erhalten bleibt.

We were absolutely thrilled by this extraordinary restaurant; we stayed there for 3 nights, it was very clean and well-maintained, the staff was extremely friendly and always nice, no matter what we wanted, there was always a way.

Pure experience.

In 2025 we stayed for dinner at Hotel Nautilus. We decided that we would definitely come back in 2026. And not just for dinner. It's all true at the hotel. Very nice staff. Very nice decor. First-class food. And beautiful nature around the hotel. Since I am an artist, the view from the parking lot to the Rügischer Bodden immediately led me to paint a picture with said view. My wife and I will definitely visit this hotel again.

Quick stay-over in Ruegen

The hotel is very near the water-walking around was nice. The hotel itself was clean and well kept. The room was spacious, however the bathroom was tiny. Very pleasant staff. The restaurant was great!
