Good first night of our holiday

Though mostly closed the owner made a big effort to make myself and daughters welcome.
The rooms were generous and clean and dinner in the hotel restaurant was first rate.
We arrived early and the owner was extremely helpful, pointing out places of interest that we could visit including an amazing view spot for the Mosel.

Good Rooms

We where already several times in Struppshoof,the rooms and beds are realy good.But now that the restaurant is closed,the verry friendly owner lady makes the dinner for the customers,,,,not the best solution..Perhaps sometimes you are Lucky about your food,but my food was not OK at all.Better to go for dinner in a restaurant in the region.The breakfast was verry good

BAD SERVICE & DISGUSTING FOOD

We booked a table for 16 friends. The waiters did not speak english or french (only German, German dialect or Russian). We took one hour to get the drinks and the list.
Then the real nightmare stated. The waiters were just leaving the plates on the table saying "I do not really know what this is, you must remember what you have ordered!"
The meat was not Argentinian at all. The meat was not properly cooked (we had to ask to bring back 5 plates because it was well done instead of medium.
At the end, they brought rare cooked meat and surprisingly we discovered that the meat was really old and with a very bad flavour. A friend found a hair in the salad.
At the end we did not eat, we just paid what we drank. The owner, an old woman, was very impolite and she told that she does not care of what happened to us.
People should be aware of this place and I wonder why dedicated authorities do not check the quality of food served in this place.

A gem of a place

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere in northwest Germany, near the Luxembourg border. As bikers, we loved it. It is family owned and run and has an excellent cosy, country restaurant. It is homely, clean and the large bedrooms are in keeping with the rural setting. Except, amazingly, our beds had electrically elevating back and leg supports! Bikes are parked securely under cover. They speak German, so if you don't, start practicing your sign language! Don't worry, you'll be fine.

Fantastic Mosel time

We spent 4nights in this beatifull family hotel. Room was very clean, homemade omlets for breakfast delicious and stuff was very helpfull. We did bikeing down the Mosela, next day ride across germany, france, lux and back and it was very nice to have a good dinner on hotel's terace.
