Good Hotel, Questionable Area

This hotel is conveniently located a block from the train station which is good and bad. Good in that if you are traveling by train it is close by. Bad in that the neighborhood is a little rougher than one might like. It is about a 10 min walk to the edge of old town and 15 min or so walk to the Marienplatz. The staff were all nice and helpful. The rooms were large and nice. One negative is that we had a leaky shower and it didn't get fixed for the 4 days we were here. The breakfast area is excellent with plenty for all and many varieties to choose from. All in all a good place to stay.

Mercure city centre

Nice Accor chain hotel in its price category. It is located in the center of town. This is the second time I've stopped here. There is a parking lot nearby, which is convenient.

in a very unsafe area, there are lots of homeless and disturbances nearby, hotel is very loud and noisy, paper made wall that you can hear everything next door, from running water to toilet flushing and even snoring, upstairs stomping is constant, and hotel staff enter your room randomly. the bedding and linings were found with hair, stains and smoke smell. there's no secured lock, safe doesn't work, the hotel stole my shoes worth of $2000, all negative reviews about this hotel are true, and it's real they steal your valuables. already reported police and this hotel is under investigation.

Rude reception, no working Air Confitioner

Hotel was generally fine. The air confitioning was set on fan only and did not cool, hence couldnt sleep on a hot day. The man on the reception desk was rude and argumentative. Car parking was expensive.

Localização e café da manhã excelentes

The hotel is very close to the central station, a short walk of no more than 5 minutes. This makes it much easier for those who will use the train.
In addition, it is a 15-minute walk from the Rathaus, the main tourist spot in the old city.
Hearty and very good breakfast with options for all tastes.
We had a problem with the TV and promptly the attendant at the reception solved it.
A plus that is worth a lot is the minibar with some free products. Water, beer and juice that are replenished every day.
Not to say that I didn't find anything bad, the bedroom curtain didn't seal very well and let light pass in the morning. Also the bathroom box is almost all open and ends up wetting the entire floor during the bath. And finally, the lack of gym is a problem for those who like to exercise.
Otherwise, very good option. One standard above most Mercures.
