Deluxe hiking vacation

Wonderful, family-run hotel. Located directly at the edge of the forest, a starting point for many activities.
The rooms are large, modern, and very clean; the bathroom is modern with enough shelf space.
Staff and service are exceptionally friendly and attentive; the cuisine is high-end, and the dishes are lovingly prepared.
Definitely visit the beautiful spa area.
Absolute recommendation.

Birthday dinner with friends. It's as good as it gets.

We celebrated a birthday here with over 20 people. In the beginning there was a small champagne reception, then an à la carte meal followed by a cosy conclusion. Everything from start to finish can only be described as absolutely super. Everyone agreed that we hadn't eaten so well away for a long time.
We would especially like to mention the friendly service staff who were simply second to none. The value for money can also be described as very good.
We can fully recommend the Waldhotel Kurfürst for celebrations of this kind and will gladly come back.

Local gem

Found a gem in Kaisersesch during a week in the area. We always like to eat in the area and we will definitely come back here. Christina and her father Deni provide top service and with their mother as chef, the team is complete. Deliciously served.

For pleasure

We only tried the restaurant, but it was a pure pleasure. We received wonderful advice from the owner.
Next time we will spend a few days there, because the setting is magnificent.

Not very accessible

We traveled with elderly gentleman. As you can see from the photos the staircase to the reception is quite long. We were told by an employee to go to the other side of the building for elevator access. When we rang the door bell the door was opened by a not too happy gentleman, who told us in no unclear terms (my German is not very good ) that this was not the “normal” entrance. That was the on set to a sometimes unpleasant stay.
We enjoyed good breakfasts and wonderful dinners. (Do tell in advance if you do not eat fish) the menu is set. Not choices. We found it strange that we did not get to see the menu. It was only read out loud. ( Once again my German is not good ) sometimes if you see the word it is easier than understanding the spoken language.
