good 3-star hotel - excellent restaurant - top price/value

Very good furnished rooms - old building but all rooms are refurbished - very clean rooms - very quiet rooms even on the street side - bathroom/shower is average, maybe at bit too small - beds are top quality (you will have a great sleep) - no minibar, but water service for a decent low price - no outside shutters/but cheap inside shutters - in summer you can't get the room real dark
hotel is entirely border-free - elevator - swimming pool (that's great for a 3-star hotel) - large and sumptuous breakfast (highly recommended) - excellent restaurant, they cook real fresh - German-oriented menus - food quality & taste are excellent
check-in by car possible but parking can be a headache on the other side of the street.
OVERALL:
A real top 3-star hotel - top price/value - strong recommendation!

Outstanding Food - Miserable Speed

It's not the first time that we ate there, but probably the last. Their "Schnitzel" are amazing, but we had to wait 45 minutes before we got something to drink and we had to wait a total of 93 minutes before we had our meal.
They are polite and friendly but I refuse to wait 93 minutes to get my food.

NEXT TO IGEL COLUMN

This Hotel restaurant is located between Mertert in Luxembourg and Trier.
Has a nice external and internal appearance.
While visiting the Igel Column had the opportunity of having lunch and was gladly surprised by the good food and service of this Igeler Restaurant

Excellent food

Was here on Carneval Monday evening and had to wait a while as the costumed group in front of me had to be served. I ordered the hacksteak with pepper sauce and side salad and was not disappointed. Friendly service and a good cold beer rounded off the experience. I returned the next night and had a schnitzel "mexico" which was also well prepared and excellent. In contrast to the growing trend the schnitzel was not battered until as thin as gold leaf but was still a recognisable slice of breadcrumbed pork. Chips were perfectly cooked and the salad was fine.

family week-end

just back had a fantastic time . Hotel staff extremely friendly and helpfull rooms lovely and very clean. Breafast lots of choice had twice diner and it was lovely portions large We enjoyed our stay very much
