Clean room, comfy bed and good food.

Stayed here for one night en route to Austria. The hotel had friendly, homely atmosphere and excellent staff. Our room was clean, large and in good condition. The wiener schnitzel was delicious, while the breakfast buffet was varied and tasty.
I could definitely stay at the hotel again.

No rooms at attendance - despite booking confirmation

We booked a single night stay. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that there were no rooms available. Although we had a confirmation from booking.com and we had paid. The hotel stated that the payment alone was a reservation and that the money would not be withdrawn. After repeated attempts to make calls to the hotel, the payment has not been refunded. I cannot recommend booking your stay at Hotel Munzert.
Now a case has started with help from Booking.com

Unfortunately no recommendation

Disappointingly, thought it would be nicer. The TV only has a few transmitters and the wifi is not working either. Rooms are clean but very noisy. The hotel is located in a quiet area of the city, close to the train station and the train station.

Friendly Staff, Clean rooms and great food!

You can ask for a no smoking room on ground or upper level. We picked ground level next to the corner by the outer exit. It was quiet. Rooms were clean. Showers are small but the water was hot and not on a timer :)You can walk to the restaurant without going outside, by going to the second or third floor and following the hall to the other side of the building. We loved this hotel! The staff was always helpful. This hotel is an older guest house without a lot of modern frills in rooms. No internet, no fridge, no a/c. We loved it anyway! You get breakfast included, we never missed one! They have a washer and dryer,you must ask for the key, it's 4 euro's. We ate most of our meals at the Munzert and loved every single one, we thought the prices were reasonable! We loved eating in the Biergarten, especially on Thursday night it's grill night with live music! There is a Netto Grocery store about a block from the hotel and a bakery just down the street. If you like to run or walk the Untersee is a beautiful lake 5 minutes walk from the hotel with running trails, paddle boats a snack bar and nearby restaurant.
If you can live without some modern frills. You will love this hotel and restaurant for their friendly staff and excellent food! The location was convenient for us because it was a short walk to visit my wife's mother. In fact we walked all over Hof. We did take a taxi to the Bahnhof on our last day and that was only 11 euro's.

beim. 2. mal ....... :(

Die 2. Buchung war nicht mehr so wie erwartet!
Die Rezeption ist nicht besetzt, das Restaurant zu. Dies auch nach Corona. Anrufen und warten bis der Schlüssel gebracht wird. Geht noch (ca 10 min). Diesmal müssten wir auf dem Gehsteig parkieren, weil alle Parkplätze besetzt waren. Leider war das Zimmer (Insbesondere das Bad .....) Bei Abreise wollte der Ma nicht kommen, hat aber gesagt, er sende eine Rechnung. diese ging dann an Booking.com und nicht an mich (Daten waren vorhanden). Gerne nun. ein Anruf (Freundlich) aber dann eine 2. Mahnung mit Zahlungsfrist von 3 Tagen....
