Parkhotel Hameln sijaitsee lähellä rautatieasemaa ja lähellä teemapuistoa. The names of the rooms are very misleading. We booked a superior twin room. We questioned whether indeed we had been allocated the correct room, and were told that we had.The room was very small and no tea & coffee making facilities. A very basic room. However. it had a good size bathroom with a nice walk in shower. It also had a small balcony with 1 chair.
We enquired about the next category up - "Privilege" room for our next stay in Hameln. This is a bigger room & does include tea & coffee and bathrobes. But alot more expensive. If you don't mind a smallish room and don't think "superior" just normal, this hotel is located conveniently in walking distance of the town (through the park). And to reiterate the breakfast is really good and the free supply of drinking water was very much appreciated. Especially as we stayed during a heatwave >38°.
NB There isn't any air-conditioning in the hotel. But very few hotels in Hameln have air-conditioning.
The breakfast staff were excellent and friendly and the majority of the receptionists were friendly. But one of the younger female receptions was quite surly. We didn't see or use the sauna or swimming pool.

There will not be a third booking!!!
In 2023, I booked a quiet room with a view of the Bürgerpark.
The emphasis was on a quiet room, which I was not informed about; the closing celebration of the fasting month of Ramadan was held in the Bürgerpark. Until late into the night.
As an explanation for my complaint, the hotel informed me that they also did not know that the celebration would take place in the Bürgerpark.
I made the second booking in the 6th month of 2026. Again, like in 2023, a quiet single room with a view of the Bürgerpark.
It was a night that was unbearable!
Right next to the hotel, there was a graduation party! With not only very loud music, but mostly deep frequencies between 20 Hz and 200 Hz. Producers use synthesizers and specialized bass VSTs to create the powerful sound.
This was very clearly audible in the room. After I checked in at the reception at midnight, I was informed that they had a special permit until 3:00 AM and that the hotel could do nothing about it. That was it for the quiet rooms!
The next morning, not only did I complain again, but numerous other guests did as well about the noise disturbance. The hotel's response was, as in 2023, that they were not aware of it and that they could not do anything about it! A third time, there will be no booking from my side at the Park Hotel!

Christmas/New Year 2025/2026
Unfortunately, after payment and booked by a rese office, it turned out that there has been no swimming pool for about 10 years. Who actually takes care of the so-called Internet... etc. Karteil Oaks??? The tour operator? The hotel? Or unfortunately the guest??? However, the bottom line: Great hotel, staff initially cold and superficial. However, later very good staff, especially at breakfast. Super sufficient, very rich, just great!!! Wow, thanks for that.
Even a small wish was fulfilled, sauna, for example, etc..
We will come back. Thanks for everything!!!
