A gem in a magical city

Situated on a quiet street amongst splendid large and old houses, Villa Bomburg is an absolute gem, from the charming host to the beautiful garden to the beautifully and tastefully appointed rooms. Although there were only two of us, we had an entire suite to ourselves, complete with spa bath - a real treat! A continent tal breakfast is an optional extra and there's an amazing variety of food. The Wifi is great too. Eisenach is home to many large and beautiful homes as well as Wartburg Castle, which sits atop a forest-clad hill and dominates the landscape. Take a walk around the town and enjoy the architecture of this magical little city.

Beautiful Old Villa

We arrived in Eisenach late afternoon with no reservation and had driven past a sign for Villa Bomberg. As we parked on the quiet street outside a man stuck his head through the window and we asked if he had a room. He gestured to go around the side and was waiting for us at the rear of the Villa. He introduced himself as Peter and had one room left. There was off street parking on the drive for our motorbike. The room overlooked the front garden, with a toilet and wasbasin across the hall but which was private, as was the big bathroom on the ground floor. The bathroom was full of toiletries and had a jacuzzi bath and separate shower. The Villa was beautiful with lots of antiques and historical pictures. Our room was beautiful and we felt like we had gone back in history. It was a short walk to the nearest restaurant, with the town centre a little further but all within a 10 minute walk. The garden had seating areas and we enjoyed a drink outside as darkness fell. Peter was a perfect host, asking in the evening whether we preferred tea or coffee with breakfast. All became apparent in the morning when we went into the kitchen for breakfast. Places had been set with orange juice and big pot of coffee. Breads, cheese, ham, cereals and eggs were set out. The Villa was located in a quiet area and we had experienced no noise even though we had slept with the window open. We were so pleased Villa Bomberg was signed on the main road, otherwise we would have missed a lovely experience.

PWOC Board Retreat

Stayed at the Villa Bomberg for bonding retreat with our PWOC board members.
What a treat to be greeted with such warm hospitality from the Villa Bomberg team; I would love to go back just to visit with manager Renata. She really made us feel quite at home. The history tour of the villa in addition to the convenience of the city center was makes this property even more attractive.

Jugendstil Villa in Eisenach

Villa Bomberg is a very nice Jugendstil villa. We had a room in a seperate small house in the garden. We were wellcomed warmly, and breakfast buffet - of good quality - was prepared by the host in the morning at 8.00 a.m.
You can walk to the Wartburg - definitely worth a visit, and take a guided tour in the castle - through the woods. But, it is quite steep uphill and will take you at least 30 minutes. You can also walk to Eisenach center and through the beautiful Jugendstil villa neighbourhouds.

Great place to stay!

We stayed here for 2 nights. The Hotel is situated in a gorgeous small town. room was clean, well equipped and Bathroom complete with Spa Bath. Hotel staff friendy and breakfast impressive range. I would stay here again!
