perfect little place

Very nice and clean little hotel app. 6 km from Alte stadt.
Nice host (he speaks english :-)
We took a taxi to Koeningsstrasse (shopping). Went to Alte stadt to get dinner and then walked home along the Rhine - wonderful walk.

Very Nice apartment, nice people

We stayed at the very nice and spacious apartment. Excellent for a family which is staying the night and catching the plain the day after. Great breakfast, with a lot of variety and very nice people! Will come back! Thanks

Cozy and friendly

I highly recommend. Clean rooms, friendly welcome, great value. Located in a small village 10 minutes away from Düsseldorf, this little gem has it all! Vintage and authentic decoration, nice rooms, good breakfast. You won't regret your stay.

What a find !

At very short notice we booked a room and for the price (50 euro) we were thrilled. We had a very large penthouse apartment with room for at least 6 or more to bunk down. Ok , so it's location is not brilliant but it makes up for that on value for money and the super nice people who work there. The church bells going off on the Sunday morning were superb and we listened to them on the private balcony at the back of the apartment . To put it into perspective , friends of ours booked an apartment for 8 days and it cost over 1k, we were originally going to bunk down there but it was so appalling we left and lucky for us too! Thank you .

Two types of rooms - one price

We have recently spent some days at this hotel (based on Tripadvisor recommendations) and were seriously disappointed.
It is a small hotel (just 9 rooms) in a quiet area on the outskirts of Düsseldorf, but still quite close to the center. So far so good.
When we arrived, we found that there is a serious discrepancy between the pictures on their homepage and the 'real' rooms. Our room was on the third floor, up a narrow staircase (no elevator). It was small, the furniture old and somewhat faded and had no bathroom (only a shared one on the floor outside - fortunately there was nobody in the adjacent room). As the room was right under the roof, the area where you could stand upright was quite limited.
There are obviously 'new' and more spacious rooms (with bath) that cost the same. So we felt that we did not get good value for our money.
As there is no reception area, you need a phone to call somebody if any questions arises.
On the positive side it must be mentioned that the breakfast is very good and served in a nice restaurant - the only place in the whole hotel that offers a certain amount of atmosphere. And the service at breakfast is good, friendly and fast.
Nevertheless, this was our first and last visit to Landhaus Hamm.
