A great stay.
Enjoyed our stay at rival hotel we would certainly come back if we ever find ourselves in Stockholm we went and enjoyed the sites to see the Viking museum, the ABBA museum, and some of the other sites. Great job people you are the best.

Lovely hotel in the middle of Söder
We had a one night stay in this lovely hotel! Delicious dinner in the cosy restaurant and in the morning fantastic breakfast! I loved the smashed avocado sandwich.

Great Experience
Location was perfect. Great for all our walking excursions.
Staff were amazing. Super friendly and happy to help where possible.
Rooms were very clean and quiet, and beds comfortable.
Would stay again when next visiting Stockholm.

Wonderful hotel stay
We really loved staying at Hotel Rival, and it was a great location to stay at for our 4 night break in Stockholm.
Our Deluxe room was spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the aircon worked very well. There were 2 sets of thick curtains which we appreciated as we’re used to blackout blinds at home. There was plenty of room to hang clothes and store luggage. The only improvement we would have liked would have been better WiFi as we found that was very slow in our room. We did have a good 5G connection there at least.
We were particularly impressed with the sound-proofing of the bedrooms. We’ve stayed at lots of hotels and this was one of the quietest- we heard absolutely no noise from anyone staying in rooms either side, or from outside the room including from the lifts which weren’t far from our room. The only noise we heard at all was a small amount from a couple of particularly noisy motorbikes outside.
The bathroom was lovely, also very spacious, with a bath, large shower with shelf and excellent water pressure. There were plenty of shelves, hanging spaces and various other features we appreciated. We enjoyed the heated floors in the bathroom and the room didn’t steam up at all.
We had one meal at the hotel Tavern which was very pleasant. Our favourite meal in Stockholm was at an Italian restaurant called Portofino and we also had a lovely meal at another restauarant called DalaNisse. We enjoyed having drinks in the hotel lounge area. Breakfasts were nice with a decent choice from the buffet and a few À La Carte options.
We appreciated the fast lifts in the hotel, we never seemed to wait more than a couple of seconds. Without exception all the staff were amazing, at reception, in the bar, Tavern and at breakfast, everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly.

What makes me see one hotel as superior to another begins with how you are treated at the very start.
This is one of those hotels. Those behind the reception desk actually answer your questions, offer solutions to your needs and made me feel they sincerely wanted to (and did) help. The entire staff, throughout my 3 day stay, maintained that same level of care. They advised on which taxis were 'honorable'; booked tours; even offerred to take me on a tour when a guide wasn't available. It was just unlike any hotel I have ever stayed. Oh, they have coffee at all hours - even for those unfortuate travelers who have early moring flights. Their Tavern Restaurant is fun for lunch and dinner and thier breakfast is impressive.
It a great hotel on a colorful street where the locals come and sit at the park across the street. You'll be hard pressed to find such a wonderful place when you visit Stockholm!
