Beautiful place and kind stuff

I was there for 2 nights with a friend and everything went perfectly!
It’s close to Linköping University, so we stayed there in the end of August when we were waiting for our student accommodation.
Calm vicinity, super kind women at the reception. Everything was really clean and cosy. I would totally recommend this hostel :)

Never booking Valla again. No Emergency help available

Had an emergency on call time, so I called Vallas emergency hotline number (were 5 different numbers listed in a common space). Came up to answering machine on all numbers except 1 number, where a person answered and could not help me, and gave the excuse that he has children and therefore could not assist with help. I explained that his number is on a note with emergency hotline numbers and wondered if anyone else of his colleagues could help, but was turned down and asked to call 911 instead, so that someone would come and break through several doors, than that the staff who stood as emergency hotline numbers would come and unlock.
I called 911 who thought this was ridiculous and would call Valla’s staff themselves, who work emergency services, and press to get the staff there with keys.
In the end, the situation resolved after 2 hours of me calling around. Valla's staff did absolutely nothing to help. I and others who lived in the cottages became concerned that there are such shortages on call time. If more emergencies appear on call, you will not be able to reach anyone and the person you may have to talk to will say that they cannot do anything.
Then your number shouldn't be written down for urgent problems that pop up on call.
I will never again book Valla and spoken to several who have been discouraged after how badly this was handled.

Affordable accommodation

Simple but affordable accommodation. Quick and easy check-in with key code. The accommodation is located quietly, if it is not an outdoor party at the university, in a nice park. Can, however, be experienced as dark if but comes late in the evening. A bit of a shame that there is no breakfast to buy on weekends.

Basic yet extremely good hotel

For Swedish standards, this hotel is relatively cheap. This does, however, by no means mean that the rooms are poor. On the contrary. Rooms have good amounts of space, a decent desk to work at, and a spacious bathroom. The beds are among the best one can find in Sweden. Moreover, it is very convenient that one is able to check in relatively early (that is, from 12:00 on). Its location next to the university may rise suspicions of a noisy student nightlife, but this is not the case, at least not during my stay. The WiFi connection is fast and stable and there are good blinders for the windows to keep daylight out during the long summer nights in Sweden. Be aware, however, that no TV or any other luxury facilities are present in the room. This is basic, yet perfect if you are looking for a good night's sleep.

Perfekt läge

Boende som är placerat oerhört lägligt, precis intill campus Valla. Mer likt vandrarhem än hotell, med kök där det finns kyl, frys, spis, micro etc. Eget badrum med dusch. Mysigt sparsmakat rum med sköna sängar. Det är dock väldigt lyhört, kunde höra genom väggen när andra bäddade (!). Det är även dyrt för standarden, närmare tusenlappen per natt och då ingår inte frukost.
