Amazing winter ride holidays
An unforgettable experience supported by a remarkably professional and highly skilled team, whose attentive presence and flawless organization made every moment seamless. The quality of hospitality was truly exceptional, with a large and dedicated staff ensuring constant care and comfort throughout the stay.
The horses were outstanding, well trained, responsive, and a true pleasure to ride, allowing riders to progress confidently while fully enjoying the adventure. The snowy landscapes created a unique and rejuvenating atmosphere, and the cultural day was a thoughtful and very welcome addition to an already perfectly balanced program.
Every detail was orchestrated with true mastery, making this journey both inspiring and deeply memorable. My sincere thanks to the entire Equus Silvania team.

Beautiful little gem of a ranch
An absolute hidden gem for our short stay in the Carpathian Mountains. Although we’re not equestrians ourselves, we’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a horse trekking or equestrian holiday.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay — the atmosphere was cosy, homely and incredibly welcoming. Set in a beautiful rural location, it genuinely felt like staying on the Yellowstone Ranch
The staff took wonderful care of us throughout our visit and couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating. The home-cooked food was absolutely delicious, and breakfast each morning was excellent too.
One of the real highlights of our trip was the bear spotting experience they arranged for us. We were lucky enough to see a beautiful family of bears from the hide — an unforgettable experience.
What we loved most was the personal touch and genuine warmth from everyone there. It made the whole stay feel special from start to finish.

Horseback riding week with friends
Superb hostel, clean and well heated.
Excellent food from local ingredients.
Excellent guides who answer all our questions.
Very good horses that are also very well maintained.
I definitely recommend a holiday to Equus Silvania.

Coeliac Friendly - Amazing Horse Holiday
We were lucky to be the first group of riders of 2024 to stay in the newly renovated accommodation which are private, comfortable and have the all important amazing shower.
The girls managing the tours are wonderful, friendly, accommodating, funny, fluent in English and were just great fun to be around. The horses were amazing, I was fortunate to ride an Arabian and a Hungarian warm blood and as the girls would say they are 'spicy' and 'spicy' there are but very safe at the same time. You will be supplied with lunch boxes and water bottles which attach to the saddle bags, as we had rain, sunshine and snow make sure you prepare for all weathers. If you are seeking adrenaline adventuring and fast paced riding what are you waiting for!
Importantly, food wise the cook who is local could not have been nicer, she really went out of her way to try and make coeliac meals that matched every one else including pasta dishes and desserts, even creating a little fox pancake for me. It meant a lot to me and the food was superb. A nice highlight is the complimentary wine and beer ;)

morning hike/tracking/deer tour
First things first: We were not visiting for horseback riding, but only for one night on site and booked a morning deer tour. Equus Silvania is a company with a very family atmosphere. The organization of our deer tour was a first and went very uncomplicated on request via WhatsApp (currently this tour is not advertised on the website yet), in October very spontaneously. We wanted to explore the nature of the Carpathians, and Samuelle was our guide. She did this in a very loving, professional and extremely friendly way.
Early in the morning we drove out into nature for only a few minutes and hiked in search of animals and their tracks. Samuelle explained a lot to us and answered all our questions. Although we only saw traces of the deer, we discovered other animals such as deer and foxes. Reading traces was extremely exciting.
The highlight, however, was a bear that we saw directly. A unique experience! Although we had seen bears before, this was only done from a hiding place and with food. Here it was special and unique, because the bear showed its natural behavior: As soon as he noticed us, he took flight.
For safety: We felt safe at all times as Samuelle radiated a lot of experience and knew exactly how to behave. The bear disappeared quickly, and we were just thrilled. There was no threat whatsoever.
Even if we didn’t see the deer (this is part of nature and wasn’t the decisive factor for us), the whole authentic atmosphere, the beautiful nature and last but not least the bear, which wasn’t attracted with food, perhaps even made this tour the highlight of our Carpathian trip, which had many great experiences to offer.
We very much hope that Equus Silvania will continue to offer beautiful tours. Highly recommended, even for non-riders!
