Opened in 2010, the Hotel Romantic is located right on the banks of the Siutghiol Lake in the centre of the Mamaia resort. It offers modern, air-conditioned rooms with balcony.

Great view.
I booked this hotel for 3 nights as I wanted the amazing sunset lake views. I was not disappointed. Amazing to enjoy sitting on Belcony every night watching the sunset. First room had slow or no existent wifi number 52. So luckily the lovely receptionist helped me change to a better room that day with good wifi. The cleaning girls were really friendly too. The location is good and there's many good local restaurants close to eat at. The beach isn't far too. I'd stay again for the good service and views and nice enough rooms.

Cheap, but junk.
The room was Terrible. For me, the one thing that a room must have is a comfortable mattress, and my room really lacked this, you could feel each spring in the bed itself. I was only given a sheet and a blanket that was not even put inside the sheet.
I was only given one towel on the bed, not even in the bathroom.
Finally the room looks like it was decorated in the 1970s and hasn't had any work on it since.
The staff were not friendly at all, I asked the lady I checked in with for a map, she said no. Ok, I understand. I asked what she suggested around the area, she shrugged her shoulders and said no idea. Terrible service.
I wouldn't return.

Terrible! I do not recommend!
From the beginning of our stay the bathroom light did not work. We waited 3 days for it to be changed, after long insistence. They told us that they did not have an electrician available and did nothing to change that. it's hard to believe that a 3-star hotel doesn't have a spare light tube or can’t hire an electrician for a problem that can be solved in less than 5 minutes. The edges of the shower had mold around and the bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly from the start. The Wi-FI didn’t work and the breakfast was poor. The only positive aspect was the view, but that’s all.

AVOID! AVOID ! AVOID !
Worst place I've ever stayed at !
DO NOT CHOSE THIS HOTEL YOU WILL REGRET IT !
When we arrived there was no duvet and when we asked for one they told me they haven't finished washing yet and gave me a thin blanked instead , after having a close look i realised it was dirty !
The cleaning lady said that it will be given to us in a few days but THAT NEVER HAPPENED !
We complained but the reception staff were very rude and unprofessional and refused to do something about it !
We also booked a room with a lake view but when we arrived they told us they were all booked even tho we did book it in advance and gave us a room on the other side with loud construction works going on !
Not to mention the breakfast variety is so poor with very cheap products and no vegetarian options. And after they run out they refuse to fill iy up again for the remaining guests even tho we paid for breakfast!
Overall I'm very disappointed with this hotel and i won't be coming back .

Pretty crappy; there are better choices in Mamaia for early bookings
Got stuck here during high season when other hotels weren't available. Mamaia, if you're uninitiated, is incredibly busy during the summer months so you had best book well in advance to get good hotels at a good price. That said, Hotel Romantic was expensive for small, untidy rooms that got incredibly humid and had kind of a nasty, summer traveler feel to them. I wouldn't go so far as to call them gross, but definitely not a first choice. The housekeeping was pretty weak. With two people in one room we barely had enough room to spread out our belongings. Felt very crowded in the room. No breakfast, no restaurant. They did have parking for our car though and the staff was indeed quite friendly. Wifi was crap.
In terms of location, well, this is on the lakeside. The rooms have balconies so you can watch the sunset over the lake. If you stay here though I'd recommend just going out and not coming back. Mamaia has tons of clubs, so instead of sleeping just go enjoy those.
