Nice room with lake view balcony

We enjoyed our stay in Hote du Lac. We were given a choice of room with huge balcony overlooking the lake. Didier the owner was very helpful and couldn't do enough for us, even calling the restaurant up the road to let them know we were coming. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and very fresh. We will be back soon hopefully.

Lovely views.

Had a room overlooking the lake with a balcony. Lovely buffet breakfast. Didier,the owner, was very friendly and went out of his way to assist you in any way he could. Being a keen motorcyclist, he kept our luggage overnight while we we went to explore the area. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

good value for money

Nice hotel right on the lake,our room had a lovely balcony which would be great unfortunately it was raining when we stayed.The room was large 2 joined so therefore there were 2 bathrooms, both were very clean.plenty of towels and pillows,I found the bed very hard not the best night sleep.The breakfast was nice plenty on offer.The hotel had no where to have a coffee outside breakfast no facilities in the room either which have been a nice touch

Amazing Views!

We were given a very warm welcome and were 'blown away' by the views over the lake. Sadly though, we had a room at the front overlooking the road. The room itself was clean and basic, but very good value for money. The hotel is a long way from civilisation and there is no food available in the evening. The only (recommended) brasserie in Treignac, was closed and the beach restaurant only served drinks. In fact, we drove around for hours, through the forest, trying to find somewhere to eat, but everywhere was closed (at 7pm in early September). Eventually, we found a place (about an hour away from the hotel) and welcomed the mediocre hamburger with much relish (by this time we were starving)! Then, we got lost trying to find our way back, through very dense dark forest, to the hotel. Breakfast, however, was fabulous. Thank you! I would recommend the Hote du Lac to families who would enjoy the facilities of the lake and its surroundings during the summer months.

Ghreat location

Touring the Limousin we selected this Chambre d'hote for its location. Set beside the lake close to the dam, the hote provides great views. The room was comfortable, had a large balcony overlooking the lake and a huge corner bath with shower fitting all of which were very clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good. No evening meal is offered but there is a very good beach bar restaurant within a short walk which served a good dinner.
