Avoid !
The accommodation was ok - ended up with an attic room with just a skylight so slightly claustrophobic but a decent enough size.
The pool was ok, small but warm, although we did have to ask for the covers to be taken off when really you would expect it to be ready for guests!
Our major problem was that we had, through our Booking.com agent, been told that we would have 'drinks on our arrival' as part of our package. So, the room had a kitchen area, with a bottle left out - nice touch we thought. There were several more drinks in the fridge - given that our party was one of 5 we thought nothing more, after all, if a 4 year old sees a can of fizz in a fridge in their house they usually show a little interest ! We have stayed at similar establishments in France before and been left more so thought nothing of trying some and taking the remainders home.
On our way to the ferry however we were called by Pascal, the owner, who, in an aggressive manner, threatened us with the police in Calais apprehending us unless we returned all of the drinks from the room, which was impossible as we were two hours away - by this time we had to calm our young children down in the car who envisioned their parents spending the night in a local cell! Eventually, to save the hassle, we ended up having to pay around £40 for about £8 worth of drinks that had been left in our room by booking another room in the hotel to cover the said 'cost' - I must add that there were absolutely no signs left in the room about having to pay for anything in the room - there were, after all bottles of perfume in the room (that we did not use luckily, and tea bags and sugar etc, so God only knows what extras would have been tagged on if we had! We also used electricity for the television.
What we fail to understand is, why would they have left drinks out within the room with no signage to say pay for what you use? If you've ever stayed in a room with water bottles left out or biscuits you tend to use, if it's a mini bar with costs shown you often don't!
Overall, we were left with feeling that we had been totally conned and what was obviously a misunderstanding on behalf of both parties took a nasty turn - but possibly one that could well happen to others in the future.

Loved this place
We arrived in the late afternoon, just as another couple were also coincidentally arriving. The four of us were greeted as friends and we were offered tea and cookies. Pascal our host created an atmosphere of conviviality with his open nature and generosity.
His wife Annie cooked us a yummy and copious evening meal consisting of regional dishes. We felt right at home.
The rooms were lovely, so comfortable, warm, and clean. I haven't slept that well in a long, long time.
I didn't get up for breakfast but Pascal insisted my husband bring me a sampling of homemade muffins. How thoughtful!
We left feeling we had made new friends. We hope that Pascal and Annie will come visit us in California. It would be so nice to see them again.
