Unforgettable stay

Excellent weekend this place is just beautiful everything is well thought out cleanliness is impeccable and Fabien and his wife are a kind warm welcome the breakfast is amazing Fabien takes the time to come and say goodbye and cares if we had a good time we will return very quickly we really had a great time with my husband I highly recommend

A historic WWII bunker on a peaceful French farm, where we spent the night surrounded by echoes of the past.

We spent the weekend in an old bunker—carefully restored, quietly breathing history. Outside, it appeared as a simple farm in a small village in France; inside, it felt like a living museum. By the tiny kitchen window, spent shrapnel rested in a glass case, tucked just behind the teapot, while a rusty combat helmet lay on the lawn, weathered by time. Barbed wire still lined the window, a quiet reminder of the past. And yet, the space was gentle and cocoon-like, wrapped in an unexpected calm. My history-buff husband was completely in his element. The hosts (Fabian and Patricia) were gracious and kind, serving us breakfast before we left that morning. We bid them goodbye, already knowing—we would be back.

Perfect weekend away

The bunker is perfect for 2 people. Everything super clean. Air conditioning is available.
The hosts are very friendly and helpful. In the morning a great breakfast is brought.

Exceptional accommodation

Very friendly welcome by Fabian. He speaks perfect German. The bunker is not very large but perfect for 2 people. Very clean and everything available you need. We have been here for the third time and are guaranteed to come back.

Hidden treasure in Rott.

Fabien is a great host. He is friendly and tries to communicate with his guests even if there is no common language between you and him. The room is well appointed. Nice large bed, micro kitchen with a refrigerator, small range top, microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle & sink. The bathroom has a great shower. The view outside is amazing. Beautiful horses, abundant birds, including a family of storks!
For history buffs, there are small reminders of why the bunker was originally built.
The work of transforming something which was built for such an abominable reason into something so special is nothing short of incredible.
