Incredibly beautiful place that is run from the heart by the owners.

Located on a hill between the village of Plats and the town of Mauves, this campsite offers the best of both worlds. Easily accessible as a transit campsite to and from the south, but certainly also suitable for longer stays to enjoy nature and the views.
The view from the three plateaus present is focused on the mountain massif that marks the border between France, Switzerland and Italy. During the day, under the influence of the sun, clouds and holiness (dry mist), it seems as if you are looking at an ever-changing painting.
The campsite is well cared for and lovingly run by the owners, who welcome you warmly on arrival and help you find the place where you can stay most comfortably. Power is available throughout the property and water can be found in the centrally located sanitary building (max 60 meters walk). In addition to a stair field, trampoline, bowling alley and playground equipment, there is also a nice swimming pool with a wonderful temperature. The village of Plats has a convenience store with a basic assortment; this can be reached in 15 minutes on foot.
The town of Tournon-sur-Rhône has bigger shops and a nice center. You can go there by bike, but that is not recommended because of the steep (>10%) slopes on the way back up. The campsite is located about 500 meters above sea level. There are plenty of free parking spaces in the centre (sometimes a parking disc is needed), and the city is well worth a visit.
In Tournon-sur-Rhône, don’t forget to visit Dinger Ice Cream Shop; they sell delicious Italian ice cream and you’ll be in a beautiful location on the Rhône River.

Only happiness
We stayed 3 nights at the farm of simondon and will return with pleasure. Everything is there: the magnificent view, the calm, the nature, the quality welcome by Hélène and Hubert, a grocery store “trusted” With local products, very clean sanitary facilities, well functional and in sufficient number, large pitches, games for children, animals (sheep, donkeys, cat, hens) and visits to the heart of the Ardèche hermitage.
To recharge, go with your eyes closed!
