A restaurant found by chance on the port of Saint Guenolé…Nice surprise! An excellent recipe for buckwheat fish & chips and simple and delicious desserts. Quality local products and a friendly welcome. A discovery we like.

Not exactly what was expected

I have a mixed feelings about this accomodation. When we arrived, the owner seemed surprised (or he was just playing to be surprised). After some talking (he does not speak English and my French is poor) he showed us a room. It was not what we booked and paid. We specifically asked for a twin room (two separate beds) but there was a double bed. Even more, the bathroom was across the corridor eventhough we booked a room with on-suite bathroom. Somehow we felt cheated and this left poor impression and bad feelings on our whole stay in the Le Trymen.
Otherwise, the accomodation is new (or renovated), with style, comfortable, bathroom huge, wifi works great, parking is available, breakfast was fine, there was even the cleaning of the room during our stay. Where there not the problem with the room and the bathroom, the rating would be higher.

Le Trymen - My Favourite French 'Local'

I have been lucky enough to visit France a couple of times a year for the last decade and more. When my wife and I discovered Le Trymen we were immediately impressed by the friendliness of Franck - he doesn't speak English and we don't speak French, but this has never proved to be a problem.
It's tucked away off the main street and so probably missed by many visitors. He has created a very pleasant bar/creperie and now also offers accommodation. It's a very pleasant spot to savour a Leffe Blonde while you look out towards the distant lighthouse.

En couple

Venu par hasard le patron. Est sympathique bon repas cuisine fraîche et locale pas d’eau la gastro mais bon rapport qualité prix Mr utilise des légumes de producteurs locaux et on sent la qualité des produits

Bonne table

Produits frais travaillés avec goût,accueil sympa ...on se sent bien dans ce restaurant nouvellement repris !
Très bon rapport qualité /prix
J y retournerai sans hésiter,le patron Christophe n ‘a pas dit son dernier mot .
