Photos are deceptive
Overall the hotel has its pros and cons, like any hotel... However, the photos can be a bit misleading as to what you may actually get in your room.
We booked a comfort room and based on every photo on booking.com and the hotel's website, they all showed a nice outdoor view from the windows.
As this was reflected in every photo, you'd assume that's what you would get.
Instead we had a dark and gloomy room with one large window which opened facing more rooms and where pigeons and bins were below.
I reached out to booking.com as I thought perhaps their photos were misleading and wanted to talk to someone at booking.com about this. Instead the next time I went down stairs the receptionist questioned me about reaching out to booking.com and blamed me for not putting and notes in my booking that we would want a room that faced outside (because we thought all rooms would be like this based on the photos...)
Any way, nice enough hotel. Super disappointing room. Rock hard mattress.

Our photos are taken to accurately represent our spaces and the atmosphere of our establishment. Set in a historic building, the hotel offers a variety of cosy rooms within the same category, the views and layouts of which may naturally vary. This diversity does not call into question the accuracy of the images shown, which illustrate their characteristics.

As for the firmness of the mattress, perceptions may naturally vary from one guest to another: some appreciate this level of support, whilst others find it firmer. We have, however, taken note of your feedback.

All of the staff couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful going out of their way to meet my needs. I definitely hope I have the opportunity to stay there again!
