Very beautiful art deco hotel ideally located!

Beautiful art deco hotel ideally located for discovering Chartres. Refined 4-star: very cozy lobby and bar, inviting you to relax with a drink, very comfortable room (top-notch bedding), air conditioning that you don't even notice (which is rare). The breakfast would have been perfect if the baguette bread had been fresh (it was rubbery) and if the 2 hot beverage machines had been operational. But otherwise everything else at the buffet was delicious and hearty. Finally, the staff was very attentive and very professional. Bonus: 1 parking space in the city center included! We recommend it without hesitation!

Nice breakfast, but not quiet in the room

Neat but quite a lot of noise in the room even after disposing of the air conditioning installation. Also with the window open, we hear quite a lot of extractions / installations running.

Rude personnel

The staff of the reception was extremely rude when kindly asked to deal with a room issue. There was no care and no politeness!

Incompetent staff

We had booked an executive room with two beds and a parking space. Since we arrived early, the room was not ready; they pointed out where the parking was and, to our surprise, it was an alley leading to an open area with a ground full of potholes and holes (for which they charge 12 euros per night).
When we returned in the afternoon, we found that the assigned room was tiny and very dark; we could hardly move in it, much less leave our luggage in an appropriate place. We went down to reception and told them that the room assigned to us did not correspond to an executive room; the response was that they knew but there were no executive rooms with two beds. In response to our request for a refund for the excess amount paid, the answer was that they invited us to a drink at the bar.
We spent the night in that room, but the next morning we coincided with the person who had received us upon arrival (who also spoke Spanish). We explained our complaint and he immediately set out to find a solution. He provided us with a much larger, comfortable, and bright room with two beds.
Thank you very much, Liliana, for your professionalism and respect for the customer. If the rest of the reception staff we contacted had had the same professionalism, I would not have rated the hotel so low.
Another problem is the dining room. It is shared with the hotel next door and clearly the space is limited. The breakfast is not very varied or of great quality, and there is also not enough staff to replenish the food items that run out.

Beautiful establishment, very pleasant and welcoming staff.

Beautiful establishment.
It's a pity that the air conditioning system is noisy and ultimately cools very little or not at all.
