Perfect

Excellent stay. Spotlessly clean. Spacious room. Everything you need and location was perfect. Special thanks to Emma who after losing my phone had no confirmation , she sorted it and even allowed us to check in early. Such an asset to this hotel. Highly recommend

Very good address.

We don't really like this kind of hotel where we have to pick up keys.... But there, everything is perfectly explained (even if you once passed the hotel without seeing it, the same for free parking).
Comfortable room, and we had the view of the city. The hotel is really well located at the foot of the main gate.

I recommend

Perfect hotel for visiting the medieval city, it is at the foot of the ramparts!
Large spacious room with quality materials, good soft bedding...
The day before your stay, you receive an email with instructions for retrieving the keys and the private parking next to the hotel, everything is well explained.
What follows is not really a criticism, just a few points that I think are easy to improve.
Chlorine smell upon arrival in the room
A few decorative elements on the wall would be welcome in the rooms; the hotel theme is forgotten with these white walls.
It is truly anecdotal, a very good stay at this hotel, I recommend it.

Carcassonne

Fantastic location just 200m from the castle entrance.
Very comfortable and spotless room.
Easy parking.
Would highly recommend if you visit Carcassonne.

Not the best

Arrived with 14 mature ladies to enjoy a few days in Carcassonne. Despite confirming allocation of rooms for everyone in the party and paying before we arrived, when we actually arrived the hotel had got it all wrong. We watched the reception staff and the manager (who never looked at us or acknowledge us) scratching their heads. The room allocation was all over the place with some of us having huge suites and others having tiny rooms. I'm not quite sure how the description of a room can differ so dramatically. They even tried to book two people into the same room. We never received any apology about the situation we watched unfolding in front of us.
The hotel itself is very nice and situated centrally. There is a lovely garden where you can sit and enjoy the sun. Breakfast was OK but the cooked option wasn't the best.
In general most staff in the restaurant were nice enough but they didn't really engage or smile. There was one receptionist who stuck out from the rest. She had a face like thunder all the time. I'm not sure if it was just a dislike to our group or everyone. If you asked her for anything she rolled her eyes, didn't speak
