Fantastic experience in a delightful secret gem

One of our best stays in France. A delightful and elegant madam helps, as does the historic building and, or course, secret garden. We chose the room nestled at the rear, which is a bit more quaint and historic, though the wi-fi is patchy due to immensely thick walls. They helped keep it cool despite the heat outside. Great location, and we could park our bikes safely. Good breakfast. Worth a detour to stay here, plus the old city is gorgeous.

Angouleme mini break

I spent 2 nights at Les Jardins Secrets and was extremely pleased that I had chosen this place to stay. Claude is a wonderful host and her house is decorated with great charm. I stayed in "The Doll's House" which had a bedroom, sitting area and shower unit, and felt like a small apartment rather than a bedroom. I particularly appreciated the kettle and selection of teas, which is quite rare to find in hotels in France. The house is extremely quiet and I slept like a log. The area is enchanting - beautiful grey/white stone with shops and restaurants nearby. I particularly liked the shop "Frou Frou" which is very close and unfortunately had lots of things I couldn't take back on the train with me...so I will have to come back with an empty car next time. Thank you Claude!

Quirky, character house with rich architectural history.

Quaint B&B in the centre of old Angouleme. Quirky, character house with rich architectural history. The proprietor was lovely and welcoming and joined us for breakfast which was excellent. Also gave us great information about the house, area and a good restaurant recommendation.

Havre de paix

Hôte très attentionnée, très diserte, maison délicieuse, jardin chou comme tout, confort évident, et puis tout ce qui est petit est mignon !
Angoulême est une ville charmante, où vieille pierres et végétation sauvage forme un décor ou chaque pas amène à une surprise.
Je recommande !

Au cœur d Angoulême

Niché dans la vieille ville d Angoulême, les Jardins Secrets de Mme Rapp. Tout est charme et bon goût! Les vieilles pierres restaurées, les parquets mis en valeur, des belles pièces d un autre temps avec le confort d aujourd’hui, tout est impeccable, accompagné de bouquets de fleurs fraîches, du beau linge. Un excellent petit déjeuner au coin du feu avec des confitures maison, du thé et chocolat de bonne qualité, des fruits frais, Mme Rapp est là pour satisfaire ses hôtes et fait tout pour que notre séjour chez elle soit parfait. Merci
