Wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Quinta Amala. The whole place has a very special atmosphere, with an incredible sense of peace and a genuine connection with nature.
The room was beautiful, comfortable and perfectly integrated into the surroundings, making it very easy to slow down and simply enjoy the moment. One of the absolute highlights was the sauna — relaxing there while enjoying the phenomenal view over the landscape was an unforgettable experience.
Quinta Amala is the perfect place to disconnect from everyday life, recharge and enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of Melides. We truly loved our stay and would definitely love to come back.

It’s certainly a new hotel figuring itself out. Staff were super helpful when I complained! It’s a beautiful setting and rooms are lovely, albeit a bit fussy with switches, and a few technicalities but lovely nonetheless. Breakfast could have been a bit more exciting.

Magic view and energy

Karine and her team have created an incredibly beautiful place. The rooms are superbly laid out. The overall design has been developed with great care and attention to detail. This creates the special atmosphere that makes the Alentejo coast so unique. It’s probably not for people who are always quick to demand luxury. Because the magic here lies in its simplicity. Not everyone understands that.

Unbelievably perfect!

I booked this hotel very last minute on the day of arrival because of an Airbnb disaster and wow, it couldn’t have been more perfect. First of all, the dog is 100/10 dog friendly - Milo, my pup, was treated better than me. All of the staff knew his name, they always brought him water and treats, he could roam around without issue. It was amazing.
Secondly, the grounds were so peaceful and lush - not always something you find in the Melides/Comporta area as it can be quite dry.
The food. Wow. So fresh and healthy AND tasty.
We had the most amazing 2 days and will definitely be back. It’s also only 10 mins drive from the beach which is great.
The front desk agent, Matissart, was soooo helpful and welcoming. He even gave me a little gift on departure. & Fernanda at the restaurant was just so lovely.

The Quinta Amala was an amazing place. The location with the view over the landscape with rice fields and pine woods was beautiful. Each cabana, house, had privacy and were souronded by beautiful plants and flowers. Beautiful architecture of the houses, the pool area, lounges and dining room.
We felt close to nature, silent and relaxing.
The food was also very good, including the breakfast with local food.
The staff were all very nice and helpful and made us feel welcome and well taken care of.
We reaally want to go back!
