The location could not be better. It is minutes from the main square, but tucked away on the side streets and very quiet.
The front desk is super helpful, you get maps, recommendation and a personal, local advice.
Our room had everything we needed for our 3 night trip. Very clean. Nice big window. There was Heating/ cooling unit that we didn’t need to use, but in the middle of the summer, different story.
There is very good local tasca close by. We had our last lunch there, delicious!
Strongly recommend for a few day trip to Évora and around .

Shameful room
The hotel consists of two buildings and at no point during the reservation were we informed of this fact; we only found out when checking in. After arriving in the room, located in a building, on another street, we stopped with a room, without a window that could be opened, with the entire carpet dirty, barely cleaned. In addition, a deafening noise because, above the supposed window (fixed glass structure), 6 air conditioning units were running continuously. Now rest was all that we couldn't do. The receptionist informed us, to our displeasure, that there was no other room available. What was attributed to us was not a room, but some back rooms of a restored house. Shameful!!

Very nice but hotel pictures from booking don’t match our experience.
Stay Hotel at Évora was a lovely discovery. They’re located in the city center, inside the walls. 5 minute walk from Capela dos Ossos and a bit more to the Cathedral, 2 minute walk away from the plaza where all the shopping area is at and around. Nearest restaurant (Entre Muralhas) is best of town, great prices and wonderful eat-like-a-local experience, mixed with Brazilian flavors, a DISCOVERY!
Breakfast was quite nice for a 3 star hotel, you could find a variety of bread, a small assortment of fruit (A+++ to the fact you can make your own fresh orange juice), three types of cereals, a vast amount of jams, ham and cheese, yogurt, scrambled eggs, bacon, beans and mini sausages. Important to mention availability of lactose free milk and yogurt, almond milk and outstanding Bolos de Arroz.
Great attention from the team to help us cover all our needs. And exceptional support from the lady at reception during our last two nights and the young guy, who was room assistant and after our checkout came running after us because my girlfriend forgot her phone.
There is late check out available at 3PM at a 20€ cost and you can park near Évora cemetery and Igreja dos Salesianos (2min walk from the wall, 5 min walk from the hotel), just outside the walls of the city.
Our bedroom was probably smallest one of the hotel (for what we felt when we came in and based on the fire exit map on our door). Half of the closet was covered with the desk so it was unusable, and window to the patio couldn’t be opened. Bed and pillows were nice, and AC wasn’t noisy, although isolation was horrible and you could listen everything from the room beneath and people at corridors. Bathroom outdated too but at least you could open the window. Cleanliness and support from the team were very, very good.
I’d like to mention pictures you can find upon reservation make the hotel look fresh and new, but that’s not on the first floor of the main building, where rooms are outdated and look quite old, this is the reason why I’m giving 4 stars, hoping to have them do a makeover in the near future so I update to 5 stars.

Horrible pillows
Hotel in the centre of the city, ideal for those who want to visit on foot. Difficult parking near the hotel. The room was very basic and already accuses the age, but was clean.
They put them in a room with intense mould smell. We asked to exchange and the request was met.
Super high and very uncomfortable pillows!!!! We had to wear folded towels to get to sleep. A problem we report at the check-out and were told they already knew. It was time to deal with the problem, wasn’t it?!?

The room was clean and location was very good. Staff very friendly, breakfast was good but only downside was that there wasn't freshly cooked food in the evening- only frozen food heated up in microwave
