It has potential but...

This local accommodation is located in a small convent in the Herdade da Mitra, 12 kms from Évora.
The area is very quiet, great for hiking and surrounded by various archaeological vestiges such as Miliário da Mitra, Anta Grande Zambujeiro, Anta Pequena Zambujeiro, Castelo do Girardo, Vila Romana N. S. Tourega and Cromeleque Almendres.
This local accommodation has great potential, but several of the spaces require intervention and even improvements, for example in the bathrooms. The terrain also needs cleaning, which made it impossible to enjoy the space.
Contrary to what is advertised on the Booking website, the rooms do not have bathrobes and omit that there is no room service, that is, the cleanliness and arrangement of the room is the guest's "responsibility".
Also to emphasize the quality and diversity of breakfast (paid separately).
The installation of a pool would be an added value.
Finally, we had to contact the accommodation by phone, which was impossible, with the suggestion to provide additional numbers or at least to repay the calls.

Relax and tranquility in this former Portuguese convent in Alentejo

It 'was a beautiful discovery in Portugal in the areas of Evorà this former convent has been renovated without modernizing too much the location itself. I had room number 7 large with 1 large bathroom, wi-fi and air conditioning both strong even upstairs than the reception! breakfast plentiful and varied .I could also prepare coffee independently with my personal car brought from Italy and dine buying things at the supermarket not far away. Very quiet environment where you can regenerate drinking a wine or a coffee on the large terrace adjacent to the breakfast room. tranquility reigns supreme and I really enjoyed the relaxation time of my stop in Portugal to discover the beauties of the Alentejo. In an hour and 20 minutes I reached Lisbon and in an hour and a half I reached the first country in Spain, Badajoz. Very nice girls at reception, really nice and courteous both in the chek-in phase and during my stay. I had a great time in these 3 nights when I appreciated the simplicity of the structure that offers simple but essential comforts and if I were to return here definitely make a stop here. Congratulations to the staff that manages it and to the owner who renovated it preserving it from the unfortunately widespread degradation in Portugal of historical and religious buildings like this.

A gem just 10 minutes from Évora

What an amazing experience…I have no words for the staff and saying friendly doesn’t even touch the surface. They definitely make you feel at home and go above and beyond to accommodate all your needs. The place itself is gorgeous, comfortable, clean and with so many things to discover. The surroundings are breathtaking and you can enjoy the landscape during or after the breakfast which is an experience just by itself…out of this world! You’ll have very few places with a breakfast like this.
You have good internet coverage and very strong signal throughout the outstanding property.
Totally recommend it and I hope I can come back several times…what a gem just 10 minutes from Évora.
