Beautiful views and a wonderful host
A wonderful place to stay on Pico. The views from the terrace are stunning and the area is nice and quiet. The house was really well equipped and was a lovely place to come back to after busy days around the island. Raquel was incredibly helpful with ideas, answering questions and even dropping off bread in the mornings. Thoroughly recommend

Lack of humanity
My experience with this accommodation has been very disappointing, not so much because of the cancellation policy as because of the lack of empathy and willingness to listen.
Due to a human error when making the reservation, we confused the islands when looking for accommodation in the Azores and booked in Pico when our trip was to another island. As soon as we realized, more than 20 days in advance, we got in touch with the host to explain the situation. However, our request was flatly rejected, without giving us room to explain the case or look for a solution.
We even proposed to cover half the booking amount so that the accommodation would not be harmed, also having enough time to rent out the room again. Even so, there was no willingness to reach an agreement.
I understand that every accommodation has its rules and cancellation policies, but I also believe that customer service and humanity make the difference. In our case, the feeling was one of absolute indifference to a situation that could have happened to anyone.
Unfortunately, this experience leaves me with a very bad impression of the treatment received and means I cannot recommend this accommodation.
