Breakfast, better on your own!
The hotel and facilities very well. All very clean and tidy. The reception was good and friendly and was well located towards the beach. The pool's fine. It has billiards, foosball and free access pin pon table.
The catch: breakfast leaves much to be desired. Coffee is an envelope, if you want milk it is an additional 5sols, the scrambled egg bad, poor in fruits and teas... with little thing could improve it and not so scarce.
And the shower had no hot water.

Ample rooms, great infraestructure
Spent a couple of nights with my family late last month and was happily surprised at the wonderful infraestructure of this small hotel.
You have parking inside for a few cars, two great pools (a very safe one for kids), different games (billiards, ping-pong), and it faces the beach.
I had a chance of staying in a room facing the sea on the third floor with a small table and two chairs. Steep flight of stairs. Queen bed, great bathroom and flat screen cable TV. No A/C, but a ceiling fan. Would have enjoyed a small fridge to chill water and fruit. Very comfortable and in great shape. Quiet.
I tried booking for Easter and the cost was S/.360 for Saturday night, so I arrived Sunday and the discounted rate was S/.160 per night. Breakfast not included. Decent WiFi in the Reception area.
The service so-so, some employees attentive, others didn't care when the owners were not around. The restaurant expensive.
There are other less expensive rooms that might be explored.
The beach is decent, but there was a lot of plastic around. The town small and basic, but you have Mala or Asia nearby for shopping, foodstuff, and eating.
Would definitely go back.

Relaxing and fun long weekend
I spent three days at the Campo Mar Hotel with a group of Peruvian and European friends and enjoyed every minute of it. The Hotel is just in front of the beach, has 2 swimming pools and a friendly restaurant that serves many typical Peruvian dishes. I particularly liked the “lomo saltado” and large “mixto” breakfast sandwiches. The hotel also has a games room, with pool, table tennis and the traditional “frog” (sapo) game. A great place to go to escape Lima with friends...

Escaping Lima
I had a fantastic weekend stay with a group of friends here, it was so nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of Lima and down to this peaceful family run hotel, right on the beach. This place was just what we were looking for somewhere affordable where we could relax in the pool, play frisbee on the beach and sit around enjoying the great food and drinks with my friends. I would definitely go back.
