Feels like home!
When I went to La Nuit, I never knew I'd end up staying there for all 4-5 nights that I was in Cusco. Our room was small, but super cozy. It looked like how a mom would do up their child's room - with love and warmth. The whole place was actually more of a home stay than a hostel.
The highlight was the owner Lucia. She was so warm. Every day she would ask us about breakfast but cos we left super early for treks daily, we would not be able to have the breakfast. She looked sadder about it, than we did haha.
Every day when we'd come back tired, our room would be spic and span. When we used the kitchen to heat our ready -to-eat food, she would coax us to take bread, fruits, yogurt from her kitchen. It actually felt like our mom was taking care of us.

Highly recommended!
This place is the best! You will not find a better host in Cusco. From the delicious breakfast with eggs, bread, ham, cheese, jam, fruit salad, juice, tea and coffee to the complementary tea tray we found in our room every evening, it was all great. It is a twenty minute walk into town, or a 5 sol taxi ride. The room was cleaned daily, the shower was nice and hot, the WiFi was strong and the bed comfortable. We could store our luggage here during our visit to Machu Picchu and coming back for a few more nights felt like coming home. Highly recommended!

Perfect host
We stayed in Hospedaje La Nuit a couple of nights before we went to Machu Picchu. Our host Lucia was absolutely great! When we arrived we were offered a cup of tea (with coco leafs to fight any altitude sickness). Every evening, without us asking, we found a tray in our room with hot water and tea.
Also the room was meticulously cleaned every day. An example of Lucia being a great host is when we took the small pillows to sleep on instead of the normal ones. She noticed this and the next day we found that she had switched the normal ones for lower ones.
Breakfast was freshly prepared every dayand was very good.
The place is not in the city centre and we knew this when we booked. No problem for us because it was a 15-20 minute walk to the city centre or we would take a taxi for 5 soles (never had any problem with taxis in Cusco).
After we went to Machu Picchu we came back to La Nuit and stayed another couple of nights. While in Machu Picchu we could leave our bags with no extra cost. Also when we left Cusco Lucia offered us (we did not ask yet ourselves) a late check-out.
We definitely recommend this place when visiting Cusco.

Comfy, quiet hostal
I stayed here for three nights back in April and really enjoyed it. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The best part for me was the fact that this hostal is really quiet, all the time. I had just returned from a week long trip and wanted some peace, quite and privacy. I got all three of those, plus a private bathroom with hot water. The rooms are simple but quaint. The bed was great, nice and comfy. I was also pleased by the welcome cup of coca tea and the fact that I could go get more hot water for tea/coffee making whenever I wanted as well. The breakfast is small but delicious, pan de Cusco and fruit plus some tea or coffee. The location is a ten minute walk from old town and it’s in a safe port of town. I enjoyed getting to explore on foot without having to step out into the hustle of the old town. If you don’t like road noise then this may not be a prime location but I’m used to it. Other than that if you are looking for a thoughtful, quiet and clean hostal with great staff, look no further.

A cosy corner in Cusco
We stayed 9 nights in total here either side of our Inka trail and the place and owner are just amazing. The showers are warm, the cleanliness is second to none and the rooms are more like cosy little chalets. My girlfriend enjoyed a few days tucked up watching English speaking movies on the tv while fighting altitude sickness. The owner helps with advice and also arranged a laundry service at a great price. She looked after our bags when we were away and they were in our room waiting for us when we returned, this was great after a long four day hike and we rolled into bed. The breakfast is really decent for 10 soles and cocoa tea was always on hand. The hostal is only a 10 minute walk from town and is in a nice quiet area with some small shops around for snacks. Among the best places I have stayed in South America and real value for Cusco! My friends stayed on 6 bed dorms at well known hostels for this price. Fantastic!
